This has become my go-to recipe. I usually leave out the white sugar and use dark brown sugar for extra flavor. This cookie is excellent for high-elevation baking – they come out perfect every time.
These cookies are AMAZING. they remind me of really well made scones. I bet they’d be really awesome with some crème friache !!
Delicious!!!!! I added 2 tablespoons of half and half to keep ii moist and a pinch of salt too. Next time I’ll be adding walnuts! My daughter was obsessed!
I absolutely love this recipe! I use it all the time, I use it in a variety of ways. My husband and grands favorite is when I add chocolate pudding, instead of vanilla. Making it a chocolate chocolate chip, it’s a definite favorite. It’s often requested at different events, and there are never any to take back home.
I made this recipe using Einkorn all purpose flour and I used only 3/4 cup butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar. I added walnuts. They turned out amazing. Crispy on the outside edges and soft inside.
I made this recipe exactly as written and I agree with the other reviewers, it tastes like a cake cookie rather than a cookie. Also it lacks depth and flavor, its a very bland cookie. For those of you that want a real cookie, like nestle toll house or Tiffs Treats, this is far from it. However, if you’re looking for a basic dessert that kids may like, this would probably work. I added mix-ins to my batter to try and improve the taste but the batter itself was the problem. Adding toasted nuts, toffee chips, etc..did not help the overall taste at all. It was still a bland cake cookie. My husband told me my cookies tasted homemade…which was not a complement. 🙂
This recipe was really good. We used Costarican coco powder in replacement of the pudding mix and we used a Costarican chocolate bar in replacement of the chocolate chips. Overall it was really yummy. Lily(age 10)
I have been looking for a chocolate chip cookie recipe with some height along with great taste. This recipe covers them both and I’m so glad I found it.
these cookies were amazing thanks to the instant pudding. I was worried about trying it with the pudding mix, but I was glad I did. My family was eating them up as fast as I could cook the cookies. Only different thing I did was I added dark chocolate chips and white chocolate chips equal parts instead of the semi sweer chocolate chips. I have saved this recipe and I plan on making it many times more.
Love them, the addition of instant pudding works wonders. I have made this recipe sveral times now, and even used butterscotch pudding, it also works good.
Absolutely delicious! I used mini chocolate chips.
I followed the recipe as written and wow, they turned out great! My go to recipe for now on. Thanks for sharing!
Delicious, but would add a pinch of salt next time I make these.
amazing!! best chocolate chip cookies we have ever had, hands down!!
Wow so good
These cookies are AMAZING, but you have to follow the instructions EXACTLY. Believe me, we’ve had some disasters. Lol. Hands down best chocolate chip cookies I’ve had.
Perfect cookies!
Yum! Soft and flavorful!
For all the people who raved about this recipe I am wondering if they ever just made the Nestle chocolate chip cookie recipe on the bag of the chips. Far better. These are fine just no comparison.
They came out delicious, I didn’t have instant pudding so I used the cooking kind. It was quick and simple. Next time I will try instant to see if there is a difference.
I substituted honey for the white sugar and they were plenty sweet!!
