Jennah’s Famous Peanut Butter Blossoms

The best method for preparing fresh scallops, in my opinion, is a straightforward gratin. The wrong kind of scallops would be the only genuine way to ruin this recipe. And by improper, I mean any scallops that have been bathed in a brine containing a preservative. These are simple to spot since they typically rest in a milky liquid pool. What you’re looking for is typically offered as wild “day-boat,” “diver,” or “dry-pack” scallops. They are incredibly pricey, but they are worth every penny. French bread is suggested for dipping.

Yield: 30 servings

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick ®)
  2. 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (such as Eagle Brand®)
  3. ¾ cup peanut butter (such as Jif®)
  4. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  5. ¼ cup white sugar, or as needed
  6. 30 unwrapped milk chocolate candy kisses (such as Hershey’s Kisses®), or as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Mix baking mix, sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, and vanilla extract together in a bowl. Roll dough into 1-inch balls.
  3. Pour sugar onto a plate. Roll balls in sugar until completely coated; arrange on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until edges are lightly browned, about 8 minutes. Press candy kiss into the center of each cookie. Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool.

Thought I would try these out, since it looked super simple to make. I will be making these cookies this way from now on! These cookies came out with the perfect cracks and the perfect consistency. I upped the cookie count to 36 and added a little more peanut butter for taste. Thanks Jennah!

My family has been using this recipe for over 35 years. I always use Bisquick (no substitutions) and I increase the peanut butter to closer to 1 cup for more peanut butter flavor. I have also always put the Hershey kiss on before baking! That’s right, we bake the cookies with the Hershey kiss and they taste amazing! The tip of the kiss will look a little “cooked” but then they taste like a truffle with a nice soft center when they are still warm. The kiss has never melted or lost shape! I also always mix the peanut butter and sweetened condensed milk first to get it blended well then add in the vanilla and Bisquick last.

Absolutely delicious. Had to cook for about 10 minutes instead of 8.

Very easy recipe, cookies taste great. Maybe slightly on the dry side.

Tasty, quick and easy. Was looking for easy entertainment with my children on a dreary day and this fit the bill. All ingredients except the kisses (stocking dregs) Aldi brand and turned out great. Got 28 out of the batch with irregular sizing. My cook time was more like 10 minutes but otherwise spot on. Looking forward to sneaking with coffee in the morning;)

These are not only easy, but the best pb blossoms I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot! So soft and amazing flavor!

I made these cookies. I didn’t have Bisquick, but used Aunt Jemima’s complete instead, but otherwise followed the recipe. Compared to other recipes, these did not brown as I expected, and cracked really badly when I placed the chocolate kiss. I did not over bake them, as the center is still a little moist. The cookie tastes very dry and clearly needs more fat in the recipe. One option might be to increase the peanut butter. I made these to bring to a church function and didn’t have the time or the ingredients to make more, so I was very disappointed.

Easy to make but has a very thick consistency and a bit of an odd after taste. I’ll go back to made from scratch.

This recipe is wonderful! So easy to make and the best tasting ever! I used the advice of others here: I microwaved the Jif for 15 seconds to make it easier to mix & I put the dough in the fridge for 10 minutes so it would be easy to roll into balls. Worked perfectly!

what I did is put Reese’s Pieces instead

This recipe is edible but really weird. The consistency of the batter is oddly easy to work with. I feel like I’ve just made processed cookies that would be bought in the store. Will definitely go back to ‘from scratch’ as seriously, what’s the point in putting the time in?

Better the second day.

Great cookies.

Perfect. The recipe needs nothing.

I love these cookies. My mom is allergic to chocolate so I make a batch without the kisses for her and they are still wonderful.

I have made this exact recipe at Christmas for probably 8 years, but couldn’t put my fingers on the mini cookbook where the recipe appears. So naturally I searched allreceipes.com to find it! We love the tenderness of this cookie, as well as the ease of preparation. And who doesn’t have Bisquick on hand?? I have rolled these in colored sprinkles, mixed with the sugar. Festive! I usually place a kiss on top of each cookie and then gently smush them down after a minute or so. The kiss melts slightly on the warm cookie and resembles an elf hat. Love these, so thankful I could find the recipe.

So easy! I love this recipe and will definitely use it again.

Going to make them again someday.

Everyone LOVED these! I passed the recipe along…
