Healthy Chunky Monkey Ice Cream

  4.8 – 9 reviews  • Banana Dessert Recipes

When it comes to desserts, banana pudding embodies comfort food. This traditional Southern dish is simple to prepare from scratch using only pantry ingredients. In contrast to commercial pudding mixes, this pleasantly sweet and creamy banana pudding tastes real thanks to the ideal pudding-to-cookie ratio. I think it’s my finest creation yet!

Wow, what a surprise. Delicious, creamy and so easy! I made it with my old fashioned Oster blender which required a touch more milk to get it going. I imagine a better blender like a Vitamix would make an easy job of it.

Disclaimer: this is my first review I’ve ever left in my 50 years of living and I must say this is THE BEST EVER! Perfect consistency, I still can’t believe this wasn’t actual ice cream. I ate both servings and didn’t even consider stopping. (I might have slipped in a few extra chocolate chips though) I will have frozen bananas on hand for the rest of my life. Thank you for sharing this recipe! I’m trying to get healthier and this is a new staple. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

I had to add more milk plus I added about a tbs of chocolate sauce. It turned out amazing

Soooo good. I need to stock up on bananas now. I used vanilla almond milk creamer. Thanks for the recipe.

Surprisingly creamy! I added quite a bit more milk than the 2 tablespoons. This did really well in my Ninja! Definitely a keeper.

I used plain yogurt instead of milk with a squeeze of lemon or kalamansi, 1 teaspoon of pure honey and took out the chocolate. Tastes like tart banana frozen yogurt.

Absolutely delicious! I followed the recipe exactly. It was creamy with a bit of texture from the peanuts and dark chocolate. I will definitely be making this again. Thanks for such a yummy and much healthier ice cream option.

Such a great, healthy dessert! My roomie and I love this stuff, AND it’s guilt free!

This was delicious! It was super creamy, and that little bit of peanut butter goes a long way. I had to add a little more milk than the recipe called for, but I attribute that to everyone’s blender is a little different. I will definitely be making this recipe again. (And again, and again:).) Thanks for sharing!
