This recipe is a fantastic way to use up leftover chicken or turkey. Nothing in the flavor resembles leftovers. produces around six 2-inch croquette balls. I can easily consume 2 croquettes, therefore you should definitely quadruple or treble the dish for large groups.

Put cinnamon on peaches instead and no other changes. Delicious!
It turned out delicious! I used fresh white peaches just picked off the tree yesterday. I used half of the called for amount of butter and sprinkled the cinnamon on top at the end before baking as suggested by another comment. I’m glad I did! I will definitely be making this again
I made a small version, and everyone loved it. I did what some said and used less butter. I also used a fat free milk alternative, since we don’t keep milk in the house. Next time I’ll add 1/2 unused butter into the liquids for an even crumb.
Less butter, barely measured anything, added extra milk to topping so i could pour it, forgot to set a timer. Turned out delicious, the texture was similar to bread pudding. Boy did I ever pull this off by accident! Everyone loved it!
I don’t know what I did wrong but I followed the recipe. The topping with the flour was nothing but dough after I cooked it for an hr. I noticed it was dry when I was stirring it up and added maybe a tbl more of milk. This is my first try with peach cobbler. I do a lot of baking of pies and cakes so it’s not that I don’t know how to cook. Hopefully someone out there can help me or zi will just try a different recipe. Just hate I wasted 4 fresh peaches
The preparaiton of this cobbler is very wrong, you must add the peaches LAST to the top of the cobbler(spoon them on with the liquid from the sugar and needs to be at least 1/2 c added to the peaches) after you have poured in the batter! I tried it based on the recipe instructions and very disappointed!!
It was a wonderful recipe and I’m very happy that I tried it.
This is an old recipe. This recipe is almost just exactly like the recipe that I’ve been using for years. It’s very easy one stick of butter, one cup self rising flour, 1 cup of sugar, one cup of milk, 6 cups of peaches, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. It’s easy to remember when you use one cup with almost everything. I make this all the time and my family loves it. It was handed down to me from my mother years ago. Sometimes I double the ingredients with only 1 stick of butter and use a 9 x 13 glass dish. Also I use Splenda instead of sugar. My peaches are also sweetened with Splenda. Depending upon the taste of the peaches I add sugar or Splenda accordingly. It’s a great recipe.
Simple , easy, tasty peach cobbler! Next time I probably wouldn’t cover to store, made the top soft instead of crunchy.
Yum!!! I followed recipe exactly! Very easy! Very delicious! With fresh peaches. My family of 6 Loved it!! Will make again. Thanks for sharing!!
Great recipe. Easy as pie!
Easy to make!
Delicious right out of the oven!
This was an easy recipe and delicious! It reminds me of my grandmother’s peach cobbler. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and it’s perfect.
Lots of crust and not overly sweet! Just like I like it!
Made this recipe exactly as said, but I did add a little nutmeg. Took it to a church function and everyone loved it. Having never made a cobbler before I was surprised the crust turned so dark from the cinnamon. Will make this again
6.13.20 Based on the reviews I read plus our own taste preference, I made a few modifications. I cut the butter in half, reduced the sugar to 3/4 cup and didn’t mix sugar into the peaches (they were plenty sweet for us), and mixed the cinnamon (maybe a little less next time) into the peaches. I ended up with an absolutely delicious peach cobbler with spot-on consistency, just about perfect in every respect. And a scoop of vanilla ice cream didn’t hurt either.
Wonderful!!!!
Didn’t change a thing and I loved it! So did my picky 88 year old mother.
Love it. Easy and very tasty. Added a pinch of nutmeg. A definite keeper.
Simple to put together, which is a big plus. Tasted yummy! My peaches were quite ripe, and I used a couple of nectarines to add a bit more texture and about 1/4 tsp. almond extract mixed with the fruit, though I don’t know whether it affected taste. I would add a few more peaches next time as this recipe is using a 9×13 where many AR recipes are using the same amount of peaches for an 8×8 or 9×9 pan. I did reduce the butter to 6 T. as some others have suggested, and that was plenty, as I absorbed a bit of the butter around the edge with a paper towel after baking, even so. I also used both white sugar and brown sugar for a total of 3/4 cup instead of 1 cup, and for ripe peaches that was very adequate for us. We will make this again!
