Easy Caramel Apple Cake

This apple dessert is absolutely amazing! My husband enquired as to whether I purchased it there. For a delicious treat, top the cake with caramel frosting after it has cooled.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups whole wheat flour
  2. 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  3. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  4. ¾ cup vegetable oil
  5. 3 eggs
  6. ½ cup brown sugar
  7. ½ cup white sugar
  8. ¼ cup canola oil
  9. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  10. 3 apples, peeled and diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Mix flour, cinnamon, and baking soda together in a bowl.
  3. Cream together vegetable oil, eggs, brown sugar, white sugar, canola oil, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl. Add flour mixture to oil mixture; mix thoroughly. Fold in apples. Pour batter into a cake pan.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 27 to 35 minutes.
