Was tasty and so simple to prepare, served with butterscotch ripple ice cream made it even more delicious…
This turned out fantastic, made as written and did not find it dry at all. Let it sit and solidify a bit before eating!
Very tasty. Easy to make.
I love this recipe. My apples were very tart so I used a little more sugar cinnamon mixture and I also used margarine instead of butter. It was delicious. My husband gave it a thumbs up and asked for seconds.
It is so good. I added walnuts to the topping. I made it in a iron skillet. So good.
Excellent recipe, I used apples and blueberries. Yumm.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! My neighbor has an apple tree so I have at least 100 apples and I cannot wait to make this again. A little tip is to add some mayo into the crumble before baking and it makes it so CRISP AND AMAZING!!!
I utilized a nine by thirteen dish, it was glorious.
This is a super easy recipe with a very yummy outcome. What I like is that its easy to change it up a bit and still get a great result. For the crumble I used fine oats and added a bit more than the recipe called for, I added vanilla sugar, a dash of salt, handful of crushed almonds and a bit of shredded coconut. For the Apples I only had what was in the fridge so I cut them a bit wider to keep them from being too mushy, I switched white for brown sugar and added a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and some zest which was great with the cinnamon. Served with natural vanilla ice cream. So so yummy.
I doubled the recipe for a family get together and drizzled about a quarter cup of caramel sauce on top about 1/2 way through baking. The pan was scraped clean. Definitely will make again.
Did not like this receipe. The apple crisp was very dry
i doubled the crunchies
The changes I made were to substitute splenda and splenda brown sugar for the other sugars with same ratios. Tasty and simple enough.
I fell in love with this recipe. I used steel-cut oats instead of rolled, and used 8 apples since mine were particularly petite. After 40 minutes of baking, I broiled it on Low for 5 minutes and it turned out fantastically. One of the things I love about this recipe ( apart from it being one of the best things I have ever tasted) is it is so easy to make little adjustments and it still turns out so tasty.
This was excellent! I just added more white sugar and cinnamon when tossing the apples.
I CONVERTED THIS FOR MY DIABETICS AND THEY LOVE IT!!!
I love this recipe! I like cinnamon so I added more to the recipe. I added some lemon juice and water to the apples. Instead of topping with ice cream I drizzled sugar free maple syrup over it.
Made it in a 9×13″ pan (9″ square would be too small). Quick and easy recipe.
Delicious! Made 1 1/2 times the recipe and placed in a 9 x 13 pan. Sweet, soft apples under a crunchy top. Nothing better! Served warm with ice cream.
I had a bin full of apples to be used up so picked this recipe for a quick apple crisp. The only thing I did different was to use about 50% more apples than called for since I had so many extra. Glad I did, because there was so much oat topping. I ended up using a bigger baking dish to accommodate having more apples. With the amount of topping this recipe makes I’m glad I used more apples and a bigger pan. It was ready to come out of the oven at 35 minutes. DELICIOUS!!!
easy to make and my friends all loved it!!
