Only those with an insatiable sweet appetite should attempt this delicious recipe! Your entire Halloween audience will like the combination of candy corn, chocolate sandwich cookies, and pretzels.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Additional Time: 3 hrs 30 mins
Total Time: 3 hrs 35 mins
Servings: 6
Yield: 6 (3-ounce) ice pops

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups boiling water
  2. 2 Earl Grey tea bags
  3. 2 tablespoons white sugar, or to taste
  4. 1 lime, juiced (Optional)
  5. 6 slices lime (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour boiling water over tea bags in a jar or pitcher, and allow to steep for 15 minutes.
  2. Remove tea bags, add sugar, and stir in lime juice. Adjust the sweetness to suit your taste and cool mixture to room temperature.
  3. Drop a lime slice into each ice pop mold. Pour in mixture, leaving about 1/4 inch space at the top. Place the sticks or tops in and freeze until solid, 3 to 4 hours.
  4. Run some warm water over the molds to help loosen the ice pops.
  5. If you want to trim calories, sugar substitutes such as Truvia(R) or Splenda(R) are fine in this recipe. If you have concerns about caffeine, decaf tea bags work well, too.

Excellent! A little sweetness was needed, so i added some Trivia and some honey. Also, for a kick I added 4 T of quality gin!
