The crescent roll dough used to make these apple turnovers tastes great both warm and cold. To make this sumptuous dessert appear as though you went to a lot of bother when you didn’t, they are covered in caramel sauce. They might come with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

Ingredients
- 6 medium apples – peeled, cored, and diced small
- ¼ cup dark brown sugar
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup cold salted butter, cut into small pieces
- 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce, or to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine apples, brown sugar, water, butter, flour, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl; mix to combine.
- Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Scoop 1 tablespoon apple mixture into center of each triangle and fold into a package, making sure ends are sealed. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 15 to 18 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
- Serve with a drizzle of caramel sauce on each turnover.
- You can make this with peaches or bananas instead of apples.

Did you people not test this recipe?!? 6 medium apples is WAY too many for 8 measly crescent rolls. They tasted great but I have NO idea what we will do with the rest of the apples.
