Cookie Dough for Ice Cream (Eggless)

  4.4 – 167 reviews  • Ice Cream

a fantastic topping for any ice cream. Any vanilla ice cream can be used to make cookie dough. Exceptionally superior to store-bought cookie dough ice cream. NOTE: This is simply the dough; it does not contain the ice cream recipe.

Amazing! This is exactly like you’d find in high-quality cookie dough ice cream. It was very easy to make. We will definitely make it again.

It was sooo good. Reminded me of the Sweet CeCe’s topping. Definitely will make again

Using the modified version found in the comments I think it was a very good recipe. By itself it tasted absolutely perfect with a good room temp and frozen consistency. In vanilla custard, the dough flavor is outshined and more difficult to appreciate. I think next time I’ll add a little extra of both sugars to help it compete with the custard.

Added mini chips and a bit extra flour (dough was sticky) and it turned out wonderfully!!!!

I made a double batch for my family of six . We all enjoyed it.

Great recipe! My kids and I loved eating it in ice-cream and by the spoonful!

It was good! It tasted a little to much like flour 🙁 and it was very thick, but a little extra water helped

Love this! After getting sick of buying cookie dough ice cream in the store and never having enough “cookie dough” or it was too salty tasting, I decided to make my own. The kids and I love it! I leave the chocolate chips out and we use it for vanilla ice cream and can load up as much dough as we want. Been making this for about 2 years now.

Good and super easy to make. I doubled the recipe and made a few changes that were suggested in previous reviews.

I also followed the suggestions and then changed it to gluten free by using Bob’s one to one flour. It came out great!

I love that ice cream!!!!

Really TOO sweet and mine became watery… next time I will use wayyy less sugar and only add water when it’s too dry…

This is awesome! I thought it was a tad better with maple extract, but thats just a personal preference 🙂

I will make it again! I LOVED the taste of the faux cookie dough! It gave me the guilty pleasure that I crave without the expensive price of market cookie dough ice cream and without the question of whether or not I will get ill from E. Coli. THANK YOU! I will tell my friends indeed about this recipe!

As written it’s not very good. Bland and lacks all fun that you want out of cookie dough ice cream. I added extra brown sugar and a quarter cup of cocoa powder.

Oh my goodness it’s so good!!!!! I made @giggletush ‘s recipe, except with no salt, and I used a 1/4 cup semi-sweet regular sized chocolate chips 🙂 Tastes just like normal cookie dough, except you can eat the whole bowl and not get a stomach ache!! 😀

Reinvented with vanilla almond milk instead if water, doubled the recipe, added 1c chocolate chips and 1/2c all natural peanut butter. My GF friends could do this with coconut flour, and there’s arguably enough oil in the peanut butter to leave out the butter. Oh and my chocolate chips are soy, so this recipe could arguably be made vegan.

Love this recipe! The best I’ve tried thus far.

I made this using the suggestions in the reviews. Oh. Ma. Gawd. The most delicious thing ever. I could just eat the cookie dough by itself. I did manage to keep enough to put in some home made chocolate ice cream. Simply delicious. I would give this a million stars if I could.

The taste was slightly bitter and you could taste the flour. It tasted better as it sat longer.
