Overall pretty good. It requires an egg though. If you don’t include that egg, it will be dry. Pretty good, 4/5
Not the best cookie bars. Very crumbly. Good taste though
I made the recipe exactly and stated but in a 9×13 glad baking dish. Very good!
These are perfect for those wishing for a reason to go to the dentist or re-tile the bathroom.
I did not like it aylt all
Horrible. It was a consistancy of bread crumbs. Followed recipe to a T. Ended up using another recipe to fix it. Added eggs and more butter.
Made these exactly how the recipe states. It reminded my family of a shortbread flavor, very rich in butter. Used mini chocolate chips so it felt like there were more there. Good for dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
I made these for a senior center lunch. However, I used coconut oil instead of butter, left out the nuts, and increased the quantity to 100! Big hit.
I read the comments about adding an egg. However I used my stand mixer and mixed a little bit longer, no egg and they came out delicious!
very quick and easy recipe. my husband loves them for a little breakfast in the morning .
at first it DID NOT TURN OUT, but then i added one egg and it sorta… did the trick next time I’m gonna look for a better recipe. but it tasted great!!
I added one egg and next time I’ll add two. I also baked it in a 9×13 pan and it was fine. It’s quick , easy and I’ll use it again, since I hate to do drop cookies.
Very little flavor even after adding more vanilla. Won’t make again.
instead of pecans I used walnuts!! turned out awesome
it needs an addition of an egg to hold the batter together.
I didn’t add pecans and thats all I changed. I disagree with the people that say it was bland and dry. Something must have gone wrong. Anyway, these were DELISH!
I am so grateful for the reviews from all of you good people here! I added ¼ white sugar, 2 tsp of vanilla, 1/2 tsp of salt, 3/4 tsp of baking powder, 3/4 tsp of baking sofa, 2 eggs and made sure to sift the flour… the result… a decadent, chewy, yummy chocolate chip cookie bar that I’m sure I will make again and again!
I compared this with another high rated cookie recipe and both weren’t that good. Someone in the comments recommended an additional egg and that didn’t help.
Not at all soft, and way too buttery. Next time I’ll use a smaller pan like a 9×13. Maybe cut back on the butter.
Turned out well AFTER also adding one egg & 1/4 cup white sugar. Turned out less dense. Fluffier and better texture. May make again.
