It was amazing I made this for a christmas party and it was great everyone loved it .I am most definitely going to use this recipe again
I thought it was an awesome fudge , It turned out i had 10 people in the group that grew up with peppermint candy cane as a treat and they all said they have allergies to peppermint now . So i will only make it for the immediate family now . To me it was fantastic .
Easy and so yummy!! Loved it!
Super fast and easy. Sprinkled crushed candy canes and on top for Christmas and will add chopped cinnamon hearts for Valentine’s. Freezes well.
I have made this a few times already and it’s really good!
Very lovely and easy recipe. Absolutely loved it 🙂
This turned out to be a gooey mess! Worst thing I’ve ever made. Mixture did not set. Discarded the whole thing. I will never use this recipe again. Having done some research on fudge making after this failure, I discovered it didn’t set because it was not brought to a high enough temperature. This recipe makes no mention of bringing the mixture to a boil which is probably what’s needed for it to set. Also I think one single drop of food coloring is all that’s needed to make it look like the photo. My gooey mess turned out a pale green. To the person who submitted this recipe, please make instructions more precise. Do not assume we all know the fact that candy mixtures need to be brought to a high temperature in order to set.
This fudge is absolutely beautiful if you leave it white and allow the peppermint chips to color it. When food color is added, it was amazing how few people try those in comparison to the white. I think the fudge was delicious but remember it isn’t that super-soft refrigerator fudge everyone has gotten used to- it has texture and body which makes it far easier to present without snagged or pulled edges, or smeared tops. The one thing I would leave out, unless everyone likes strong mint taste, is the peppermint extract. I had quite a few comments that the mint was a little “too much” and I would have to agree. The peppermints flavor it nicely all on their own! This is 5 star if you cut down or eliminate the extract. Nice job!
This is a huge hit at my work. People ask for this every year. I have played with this a little with choc chips and andy’s mints. Not a fan of those so I stick with this original recipe.
I used white chocolate chips rather than vanilla. Fudge was delicious.
This was my first time making fudge ever! Everyone liked it too! Next time I make it I won’t grind the candy canes into a fine powder ( I tried taking the easy way out and put them in my all powerful smoothie machine, they ened up way too ground up). After I made the recipe I found crushed candy canes for sell at Walmart. Also i used some Hershey’s chocolate flavored peppermint candy canes too!
I did not like this recipe because it was really mushy and soggy…

The family loved the fudge. Also, gave as part of neighbor treat gift boxes. Made as prescribed except added the food coloring and swirled at the end.
So delicious and easy to make as my first time making fudge!
This was a hit. Great idea for giveaways at Christmas. Very sweet.
Delish and soo easy
Made it as instructed. Everyone loved it. Perfect blend of ingredients without being overly sweet.
I didn’t have vanilla chips, so I used white chocolate instead and doubled the peppermint extract to cut thru the extra sweetness. It was a big hit.
This was very easy to make! I did just use one cup of the crushed candy canes though. I didn’t add the food coloring until after I poured it into the pan. A few drops on the top and then I swirled it in. This gave a nice look when it was finished and cut. I shared it with my neighbor and she just raved about it. I will make this again next year!
Super easy and delicious
