I work in a Food Lab, and decided to make this for everyones opinion. Not one person liked these cookies. The chocolate overpowered the actual cookie, and the flavors just didn’t work. Sorry, but this is a no for me.

At first, I was very septical, Cake Cookies? That’s not going to taste good. I am happy to say they have proven me wrong. I used a french vanilla cake mix and it is SUPER tasty!
Brian Gross
I made these with white chocolate chips and sprinkles, and they were delicious.

So simple and yummy. I used sugar-free cake mix and they melted in your mouth. Can’t wait to make it again.

I’m in 5th grade and made it for my touchdown party (earned reward) they are easy to make and are really good. my mom and I used butterscotch chips and mini chocolate chips. I think the butterscotch was key.

My boyfriend said these were the best cookies i have ever made for him in 10 years! I used DH moist yellow cake, chocolate chips and pecans. I used coconut oil and i think that added to the delicate taste of the cookies.

Made these cookies at a spur of the moment time and had tons of cake mix in the cupboards. I used Betty Crocker super moist yellow cake mix, and I added mini chocolate chips in it (but not too much to drown it in chocolate(; ). And I also switched the vegetable oil for warmed up coconut oil. They turned out GREAT! Perfectly crispy on the bottom (I left them in the oven for about 14 minutes) with a moist center. And they weren’t super oily! Definitely going to use this one again!

I made the recipe but instead of 1 cup chocolate chips I used 1/2 cup chocolate chips and a 1/2 cup of craisens… yummmm 🙂

Very, very good. We used Betty Crocker Super Moist cake mix in Devil’s Food, and green mint chips. It’s a very fun and easy recipe to customize.

I used this recipe for my sons Halloween party, let me tell you it was beyond a hit! I used a pilsbury cake mix (it was the funfetti one). I added 1 cup chopped walnuts & used corn oil instead of vegetable oil. EVERYONE loved em I almost DIDNT get to try one! I will definitely be using this recipe for ALOT more events!

Awesome cookies!!! I used Duncan Hines Caramel Cake Mix with 1/2 cup each of peanut butter chips and semisweet chocolate chips. 3 dozen cookies made and only 15 left for tomorrow after my kids and husband got their hands on them. I would like to try them with butter instead of the oil to give it an extra little zip! I also do not use the baking powder. Completely unnecessary step.

Super Time-Saver! I also swirled/lightly mixed JIF Mocha Cappucino Hazelnut Spread into the dough before I plopped ’em on the cookie sheet! Amazing!! Could probably use Peanut Butter or Nutella too…Mmm…

I was excited to try this with the baking powder added to the recipe. I usually use a recipe w/o baking powder and with only 1/3 cup oil. Unfortunately, I was unhappy with the results of this recipe. The cookies were very very flat.

I used white cake mix instead. Other than that I followed the ingredients and directions as recommended. They turned out great. Very moist and delicious. They were a hit!
