Made these for decades! You can mix it up: Chocolate cake mix with vanilla chips; butter pecan cake mix with chopped pecans, yellow cake mix with chocolate chips. They WILL taste “off” if your cake mix or oil is old.

I had a cake mix that I had used 2 T out of to make a mouse bait. So I used it and didn’t think just that little bit should make such a difference but my mixed ingredients was like a batter. Very runny. I added rolled outs to it and used a cookie scoop and it worked very well. I thought they needed a frosting because they were more like cake than cookies. My cake mix was chocolate so I mixed up a chocolate glaze. I found them much better that way. I did use 1/2 cup melted butter instead of oil which I feel improved the taste but I wouldn’t think that would have made them so liquid?

I’ve been using this recipe for years. The best combo is yellow cake mix and add in chocolate chips! Soooo good!

Quick and easy way to make cookies . Plus you have so many choices of cake mixes to choose from. I always have different cake mixes on hand, and can whip up a great batch of cookies in minutes. You can add whatever you or your family like, or I’ll even split the batter up & add chocolate or peanut butter chips, nuts, etc & make 2 or 3 different types of cookies. Our favorite is carrot cake mix, with raisins, and walnuts. Topped with cream cheese icing

These are super easy to make, and they taste really good. I’ve used 4 different flavors of cake mix, and they were all very yummy. I added chocolate chips, white chocolate chips and orange extract to some of them. Everyone at work liked them.

Fantastic! I have been making these with devils food cake mix and chocolate cake frosting forever. I used butter instead of oil this time – game changer! Everyone loved them and my famous cookies are now super famous.

They are OK. Taste like the white cake mix. I put vanilla in the batter and on a glaze I drizzled on then sprinkled on colorful stars. It was a fast and easy recipe in a pinch.

Love this recipe, I’ve made it with funfetti twice, turned out great. I always use butter instead of oil, and add vanilla extract. I’m doing chocolate cake mix today and added chocolate chips for a dbl chocolate cookie, and I’m confident they’ll be delicious.

Great recipe. I did follow reviews and only used 1/3 cup of oil. I used vanilla cake mix and added 1 tsp of banana extract and 1/2 bag of chocolate chips. They were out of this world!!! Absolutely delicious.

Chocolate cake mix Cream cheese frosting Same directions, but use the frosting to turn them into sandwich cookies, like Oreos. SO Good!!! You’re welcome.

I kept my niece busy with this recipe today. She baked these exactly as directed except we used funfetti cake mix They were good for what they were, a simple, 3 ingredient cookie. It would be fun to try different flavor combinations so I think I might do this again. We did ice half of them just for fun and I found them better that way.

YUM! We did add 1 teaspoon of vanilla as recommended by other reviews. So easy and so good! I honestly don’t even really like sweets/cookies but have now had 3. Okay 4! My son loves them! We did some bite size small and some larger and added green sprinkles for St. Patrick’s Day. We will definitely make these again!
