apples baked in butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. I still prepare this dish using my dad’s recipe because it is comfortable, easy, and gluten-free.

This recipe is so easy and so yummy! My family loved it. The only changes I made was to use some HoneyCrisp Apples I had on hand and since we live in the High Desert area of Colorado I had to add cooking time to make them tender enough for all my family members. I ended up cooking them for 25 min but they came out so tender and so yummy. My family has requested that I make them again. Thank you so much for your recipe!
I use the same recipe the only difference is I use crushed Cinnamon toast crunch and it makes it really good
Really good. Made no changes. Had to cook longer than suggested.
It is really good! I used stick butter and the butter was not melted by the time the 15 minutes was up so I put it in for 3 more and then in the microwave for 2 more. Then it melted. But it is really good!
Simple and delicious, thanks Lucynda
This was good cause what’s not to like but it seriously underperformed. I think with a little more effort, longer cooking time and some addition spices like ground clove, ginger, nutmeg, maybe some nuts, this could be really outstanding. I’d give it 2.5 stars if I could
Perfect for a quick dessert – I prepared the apples in their own individual ramekins, and as soon as dinner was out of the oven I popped them in. By the time we were finished dinner they were ready – a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and voila!
Quick, easy and delicious!
Pretty doggone good!
The direction video showed honey or syrup being drizzled on the apples after baking but the recipe didn’t include that step. I don’t like honey unless it’s an ingredient in a baked item like honey wheat bread so I sprinkled powdered (10x) sugar over the apples after baking and served them with vanilla ice cream. I’ve also subbed/added honey for the cinnamon
The best part a step that one would be surprised at : By not coring the apple all the way through, so that the ingredients would be absorbed into the apple itself. Ps: cook them a tad longer if you keep the skins on
This turned out to be a very good recipe for my family & guests. I should have taken a pic an submitted it before I served everyone. thank you for sharing the recipe. Jo Ann
It was cool! I hade to cook the apples about 6 minutes longer than the 15 minutes the recipe stated.
They were easy to make, and they were delicious.
Awesome
Had to tweak a little on the time Apples were not tender. Also added the scooped out apple to the filling and added apple juice to the pan.
The apples need to be baked for about 45 minutes. I think the 15 minutes in the recipe is a mistake. They were good (after 45 minutes!)… a good basic recipe that you can add other ingredients such as nuts and dried fruits or liquor.
I followed the suggestion of other reviewers and cooked them in water with vanilla. They were tasty by themselves but very delicious with caramel sauce and ice cream. If you want a somewhat healthy dessert you can eliminate the caramel sauce and ice cream and it is still a very good dessert and easy to make. I will definitely make this again!
Will make again
Will make again
