Utilize fresh chanterelle mushrooms when you can and pair them with zucchini for this delectable side dish.

Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  2. ½ cup white sugar
  3. ¼ cup cold salted butter, cubed
  4. ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  5. ½ teaspoon baking powder
  6. ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  7. cooking spray
  8. 2 ½ cups peeled, cored, and diced apples

Instructions

  1. Preheat an air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place flour, sugar, and butter in a medium bowl. Use your hands to mix until crumbly. Stir in cinnamon, baking powder, and nutmeg.
  3. Spray two 4 1/2-inch ramekins with nonstick cooking spray. Add some crumble to the bottom of ramekins; top with some apples. Repeat 2 more times, ending with mounded crumble on top.
  4. Cover the ramekins with large pieces of foil, tucking ends underneath to prevent it from flying off. Air fry until apples are tender, 16 to 20 minutes. Remove foil and air fry until crumble is golden brown, 2 to 4 more minutes.
  5. If you like your crumble on the sweeter side, add an additional 1/4 cup sugar.
  6. I have an air fryer oven so I am able to place both ramekins in the air fryer at once. If you have a regular air fryer with a basket, you may need to cook in 2 batches.

Lovely recipe but I reduced the flour and replace half with Oats. Also added half teaspoon of ginger. Very tasty

I have taken a picture and written a review. It disappeared into the ether. The end result was just ok. I might try it again with some adjustments.
