Ingredients
- 36 mini pink fruit chews
- 1 16-ounce container dark chocolate frosting
- 12 chocolate cupcakes, unfrosted
- 1 cup black decorating sugar
- 48 almond slices
Instructions
- Halve 24 mini pink fruit chews and shape into 48 oval paw pads; you will need 4 paw pads per cupcake. Shape each of the remaining 12 mini fruit chews into a heart-shaped paw pad, using a toothpick to shape the scalloped edge.
- Spread a thin coat of chocolate frosting on a cupcake. Fill a resealable plastic bag with more frosting and cut a 1/4-inch corner. Pipe four 1/2-inch dots of frosting to create the paw shape. Cover the cupcake with black sanding sugar.
- Press a paw pad-shaped fruit chew onto each dot of frosting and insert a slivered almond at the tip of each dot for the claw. Add the larger heart-shaped paw pads underneath the claws, lightly pressing into the frosting.
