Feta Burgers

Burgers with a Greek-inspired twist. Excellent with a kale salad or cole slaw. I came up with this recipe when I had a lot of feta cheese, parsley, and mint on hand.

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 25 mins
Servings: 6
Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

  1. 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  2. ⅓ cup crumbled feta cheese
  3. 2 tablespoons minced onion
  4. 2 tablespoons minced red bell pepper
  5. 2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint
  6. 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  7. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  8. 1 teaspoon onion powder
  9. 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  10. ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  2. Mix ground beef, feta cheese, minced onion, red bell pepper, mint, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned salt, and black pepper together in a large bowl until evenly mixed; shape into 6 patties.
  3. Cook the burgers until they are beginning to firm, and are hot and slightly pink in the center, 4 to 5 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 140 degrees F (60 degrees C).

Excellent! Whole family loved these, however i left out the red pepper and used a garden onion instead of minced. Thanks for submitting this!

I liked these but for my tastes I would bump up the seasonings, I topped with a roasted red pepper sauce and more feta.
