Tortellini baked with cheese is incredibly simple to make, yet it tastes much better than it looks and smells. Your visitors will believe you worked on it for hours. You may also include cooked Italian sausage! excellent with garlic bread and a salad.

Reviews
I see this recipe has been posted for many years and the older reviews say that there was too much sauce. The recipe was later revised to increase the amount of tortellini. That being said, the ratio of sauce to tortellini was just right. It was excellent and I agree with many things the other reviewers wrote, such as the picture really does not do it justice, just baking it for 20 minutes and not bothering trying to broil it, cutting back a little on the spinach and use quality sauces. I added some leftover cut up meatballs and it was hit, you can see how there are many add in possibilities. Definitely will make again.
One of my go-to recipes when I need to make dinner last-minute. I have a nice meal ready in under an hour, and it looks and tastes more impressive than it actually is. I add a little more oregano and garlic.
This was really good, & easy. Yes I will make it again.
I came across this recipe a little while back and decided to give it a whirl, Well so glad I did my son who isn’t much of a pasta eater absolutely loves this recipe & I do believe it’s now up there with one of his favorite meals!!! That being said the only thing I add to this when I make it is bulk Italian sausage, I slice it in rings fry it up & mix it in & for a change up once in a while instead of using just regular alfredo I usually use garlic alfredo & it’s perfect.
I made this a couple of times. Very easy and good!
Turns out great every time and everyone in my family loves it!
i used a 16 oz bag of tortellini and that was spot on. I didn’t find it too soupy. I hate dry anything. I didn’t place in broil just by choice so heated it in the oven. The sauce is what makes it imo, so if you’re not a fan of spinach, add what you like. I’m not a fan of tortellini so i might combine spinach and ricotta then stuff shells and cover with sauce.
I also added extra tortellini – all to the better, I believe. As a side note, one viable reason to review a recipe even if you’ve changed it is to validate the changes suggested by other reviewers, thus making the experience of future home cooks more likely to be positive. This is, after all, the primary purpose of the consumer review (distinct from formal criticism) process. I know many hate when people change a recipe and then review it, and I understand why, but there is at least one valid reason for it. Tangent aside, I will note that ALL 6 of my children ate this – and they agree on nothing. It is extremely kid-friendly and they still get some spinach in them! Bravo, I say.
Easy to follow recipe. Good flavor. Freezing leftovers.
We loved this. So easy & delicious. Will definitely make this again. The only thing I changed was using a little more tortellini as my package was 1 1/2 pounds.
This was delicious and even met the approval of my six and seven year old. For meat eaters like my husband you could add sausage or ground beef but it isn’t necessary. Great dish for those busy weeknights.
I liked this recipe. I made it for a big family gathering so i doubled the recipe. The adults loved it, the kids not so much.
My whole family loved this recipe! I did use extra tortellini and for the jarred sauces, I bought local “homemade” sauces that taste better than I can make!
Followed the directions exactly, awesome. Everyone loved it!
No changes needed. Yes, I would make again!
I made no changes this first time. It was deliscious. I did have a 20 oz bag of tortellini, not 18 oz. It filled about a 7 1/2 x 14″ casserole. Fast and easy. On the table in less than 15 minutes. Next time, and hereafter, I would cook some sweet turkey Italian sausage, then dump the sauces, etc. In the pan, and follow the rest of the recipe. We are having leftovers day after tomorrow. Will get it in the rotation.
ummmm delicious a keeper….
Very easy and delicious. The only thing I would do is use more Parmesan cheese!!
Easy and so delicious! I added some Italian sausage to give it a kick!
It was so easy and quick! I added cubed chicken breasts in it and it was tasty! Definitely will make it again!
I used meat tortellini instead since my husband is always looking for more protein- it came out great- One tip : make sure your sauce & tortellini is piping hot when you put it into the oven to broil it because its only in the oven for 2 minutes. This was a bit hit!
