Everyone loves this cranberry sauce but I make it with half of the sugar the recipe calls for and it comes out perfect.
This is one of the tastiest, and simplest things I’ve ever made. I followed the recipe exactly and wouldn’t change a thing! Thank you, Chef Alex!
The allspice pairs perfectly with jerk seasoning. I’ve made an orange cranberry sauce in the past for Thanksgiving but never incorporated allspice, this year I made jerk turkey and after reading this recipe from Alex I had to make it. Super stoked that I did. It was perfect.
Made this recipe yesterday tasted it and it was great but then I let it sit overnight and I just added it to some leftovers that I just consumed and that recipe is phenomenal. That is the best cranberry recipe I’ve ever had. please try this recipe. It is without a doubt the best cranberry recipe I’ve ever eaten and I was a chef for 30 years.
Yes! Great basic recipe! Used the bourbon another follower suggested, use less sugar and viola! Awesomeness!!
I used between 3/4-1 cup sugar for a 12oz bag of cranberries and added 2oz bourbon. I usually am very meh about cranberries and this made me say the favorite part of Thanksgiving was these CRANBERRIES!! Over stuffing!! Wowww so yummy!
I made it, usually not something I like, I didn’t use allspice and I added a very small pinch of salt. Absolutely amazing! So easy to make! No need for those nasty jelly can of it.
Very good every time I’ve made this. I love cranberries, grew up on them because family had a cranberry marsh. I decided to try something a little different this time and used Chinese 5 spice in lieu of the other spices. I agree with lowering the amount of sugar and using a mixture of 1/2 white, 1/2 brown. It’s all a matter of personal preference though and the recipe is great as written but don’t be afraid to make it your own.
It was a hit, not more than a few minutes ago!
You ruin it with the Nutmeg!
