Air-Fried Carrot Chips

Thanks to the panko bread crumbs, these fried shrimp have the ideal amount of crunch. Serve alongside Kikkoman Tonkatsu Sauce, if preferred.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 15 mins
Servings: 4
Yield: 16 ounces carrot chips

Ingredients

  1. 1 (16 ounce) package raw carrot chips
  2. 3 tablespoons olive oil
  3. 1 tablespoon dry ranch dressing mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Combine carrot chips and olive oil in a resealable bag and toss to coat. Sprinkle with dry ranch seasoning.
  3. Air-fry until crispy, 10 to 12 minutes, stopping every 3 minutes to give the air fryer basket a shake.
  4. Air fryers cook differently so adjust the cook time depending on how crispy you want your carrot chips.

I won’t make this again either. I followed the recipe exactly, but it never really got crispy (although I had some burnt edges) and any ranch/spice flavoring was negligible.

Love carrots and if you do not after this recipe you will love them!! Delicious and nutritious!!

I was disappointed with the finished product. The carrot chips were very bland; perhaps needed more ranch dressing mix, but I always follow the recipe exactly the first time. Also, I use a silicone pad in the bottom of my air fryer so nothing sticks; the carrots never really caramelized – perhaps because of the silicone? Not sure. As-is, I cannot recommend this recipe; sorry.
