Jeanine’s Decadent Brownies

  3.4 – 6 reviews  • Nut Brownie Recipes

Since I enjoy eating marinara-topped Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, I decided to attempt preparing lasagna. The outcome was excellent! Noodles don’t need to be boiled; simply soak them in hot tap water for at least 20 minutes.

Prep Time: 20 mins
Cook Time: 30 mins
Total Time: 50 mins
Servings: 24
Yield: 1 9×13-inch dish

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups white sugar
  2. 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  3. 1 cup vegetable oil
  4. ¼ cup cocoa powder
  5. 4 eggs
  6. 1 teaspoon salt
  7. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  8. 1 cup walnut halves (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix sugar, flour, oil, cocoa powder, eggs, salt, and vanilla extract together in a bowl; beat with an electric mixer for 3 minutes. Fold walnuts into batter. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center of the brownies comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes.

Loved it! They were so gooey and chewy, although they took a little longer in the oven than I expected. Can’t wait to make these again!

These brownies were not at all what I expected. Totally disappointed. Not worth the effort.

These were not my idea of a brownie. I followed this recipe to a tee. The chocolate was very underwhelming. I did have to cook mine approx. 10 minutes longer and they still didn’t seem quite done in the middle. It was very sweet.

These were not my families idea of a brownie, they like the traditional fudge, chewy brownie. The flavor was good but not the texture. They decided because of the texture these were chocolate bread. I did make some small alterations. I used half oil, half applesauce and doubled the cocoa powder. The amount of cocoa powder in this recipe is considerably less than other similar brownie recipes and did not seem right.

I made this once and it was amazing I am definitely going to use this recipe again
