It was a bit dry, but it’s not bad. Maybe if I add some milk next time it’ll be less dry! Thanks for this recipe.
Troy Dawson
Tasted kind of burnt and too much cocoa so it was bitter.
Ricardo Miranda
Delicious. It was a bit watery. Something is missing, not sure what.

Simple and easy recipe. Perfect for the chocolate fix we all need from time to time. I used an almond flour/brown rice flour combo, cut the sugar and used butter canola spread. I also added a tsp of peanut butter.

I could not eat this. I tried this with my brother and we both did not like it. This was quick and easy but when we tried it, it was watery and tasted like oil. I will never make this again.

Reading other reviews, I substituted butter for the oil, used 1/4 c. water, and microwaved for 90 seconds. It was perfect texture and delicious.

I have made this recipe several times and as written it needs some tweaks. Like others have said, use vegetable/canola oil instead of olive oil and add Vanilla. I have been able to make it with gluten free flour with no problems. I will say it is better topped with something than on its own.

I did not think this was very good. The olive oil taste is not good. The brownie is very thick; there is too much flour. Also, 1/4 cup sugar is too much for 1 serving; I used 3 T, and it was plenty sweet. Individual Microwave Brownie on this site is still my favorite mug dessert.

This recipe is a good recipe, but it isn’t that great without the baking powder. Next time you make this recipe, why not add a pinch of baking powder?

It was soooo good!! Definitely a do over!!!

DONT USE OLIVE OIL!!! Use canola oil. The flavor of the olive oil is way too strong and overwhelms the flavor of the chocolate.

I made this and it was absolutely gross maybe I did something wrong but boy was it bad

so I’ve made this a few time and over noticed it’s a little bitter so what I did and it worked I added 1 teaspoon of sugar after you mix well and it works really well that is if you like it sweet but I would give this recipe a really good rating

Used vegetable oil instead of olive oil and added 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract.

I used butter instead of oil, added an extra tbl spoon of water and used raw sugar. it turned out excellent!!

This has been a family favorite for years. Over time I substituted melted butter for the olive oil and sometimes add a dash of vanilla. We often share it for two because them we can have it more often 🙂

I used vegetable oil and added a splash of vanilla extract. It turned out great! I also added mini marshmallows, though I wish I had chocolate chips to add too!

This hit the spot and cured my chocolate craving.

It tastes AMAZING! Every mug brownie recipe I’ve ever tried never turns out right, this is faster, easier and tastier than any other recipe! I’ve made it many times now and topped with some french vanilla ice cream it is heaven! 10/10 would recommend!
