  1.0 – 1 reviews  • Chocolate Brownie Recipes

These are the greatest if you enjoy thick brownies that yet have that chewy, gooey “brownie-ness”!

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 35 mins
Total Time: 45 mins
Servings: 12
Yield: 1 7×11-inch pan of brownies

Ingredients

  1. ½ cup butter
  2. 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  3. 1 ½ cups white sugar
  4. 3 large eggs
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. 1 ½ cups self-rising flour
  7. ½ cup cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter the bottom of a 7×11-inch freezer-safe baking pan.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate in a small pan over medium-low heat, stirring constantly. Add sugar and remove from heat. Stir in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla extract.
  3. Combine flour and cocoa powder in a bowl. Add the butter-chocolate mixture and mix thoroughly. Pour batter into the prepared baking pan.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 35 minutes. Immediately place brownies in the freezer to lock in the moisture.
  5. For a little extra special touch, when the brownies are fresh and hot from the oven, place a Dove(R) White Chocolate on each brownie. Let the candies melt a little and then spread gently with a knife, leaving a nice layer of white chocolate on the brownies… mmmm mmm!
