SO great! chewy and delicious. I added a little cinnamon and it was lovely 🙂

I always add a spoon of instant coffee. It gives the brownies an even richer chocolate flavor!

These brownies and the frosting are fantastic!! I did add nuts to the brownies and about 1/4 C of coffee to the frosting recipe as I felt it needed just a little liquid to pull it all together, but oh my goodness, what a delicious treat!! Also a very easy recipe! I may never make brownies from a box ever again!

Delicious! We make this recipe all the time. Brownies are my ultimate dessert fave, I love the warm chewy texture of a brownie, especially with the chewier edges! This recipe comes out great and I never have any issue at all with these being anything like a cake texture.

My family devoured these in less than a day! And it was a double batch

had a salty after taste I’d say less salt and everything else is great.

I’ve been making this recipe for years. I use just one bowl I absolutely love this recipe. They’re in the oven right now and tonight I added to pecans. Warm brownies with vanilla ice cream are my favorite dessert.

OMG. These literally turned out amazing, they’re absolutely delicious (through every step of the process lol) and super quick and easy to make. I know that it’s such a stereotype to say but the hardest thing about this recipe is genuinely *letting them cool* and watching them bake! Flavor: 10/10 if you’re a chocolate lover Ease: 10/10 took me mayyybe 20 mins and I was just kind of vibing with my kiddo Wow: 8/10 could definitely jazz them up to a 10 easy though with maybe some powdered sugar for the holidays?? All in all this is a wildly easy recipe that just wonderful and something you can have fun with baking multiple times. I tried making it with fresh maple syrup as well in lieu of honey and it turn out phenomenal so very adaptable!! Highly recommended!!! (Makes 1 more than pic partner couldn’t wait lol)

I make these all the time. They are so fudgy and amazing. I love them. I was confused when people said they came out cakey until my boyfriend (with no baking expirince) made them one night himself since he loves them too. They were very cakey and the sauce was clumpy and dry. He asked why mine tasted so much better. I have no idea what he did differently since I wasnt watching him but if you’re brownies are coming out cakey then I would think there is some sort of technique issue going on.

my grandkids loved these brownies! they were delish!!

The brownies were way too sweet, by the second brownie I almost got sick from the amount of sweetness, I would cut down the amount of sugar in the icing and brownie by like half. Other than the sheer amount of sweetness I’d say it’s a good recipe, tastes good, easy to make, and pretty quick too.

Flavor is good and fudgy. Very sweet with the frosting. I had to add 2 tsp of milk to get the frosting to combine and become smooth. Only negative is I prefer a thicker brownie and these were fairly thin. I will probably double the recipe next time but still cook in an 8×8 pan.

Recipe was very easy to follow (I am completely blind). I followed the suggestions about making a double batch and the brownies came out perfect! I took them to a church social and they were gone in a matter of minutes. I plan to make them again and this time I am thinking of adding chocolate chips to the recipe.

Ignore the Novacat review. They apparently must have done something wrong. Personally my grandma’s were/are more pie or cookie bakers then brownie bakers. I was the one who always made brownies. These brownies bring back that feel of when I was 13 making homemade brownies for the first time. The frosting makes it a sugar bomb though. So add at your own risk. It’s still delicious frosting though. Reminds me of making frosting for cakes with my ma. You get a cake like situation if you overmix. Simple solution to brownies is to not overmix. These are excellent fudgy brownies, exactly what they’re supposed to be. (Not chewy brownies)

These are so delicious! I made them for my mom and she loves them!! The only negative is that the frosting recipe is a bit hard to work with, so I recommend after you mix it as much as you can, heat if for 15 seconds and then add a splash of milk and mix it to get that perfect fudgy frosting!

Just made these and they are delicious. I have tried a number of brownie recipes over the years and believe I will stick with this one. I thought from the look of them when I pulled them from the oven they might be “cake-y” but that wasn’t the case. I didn’t change anything…just doubled the recipe exactly as written for a 9×13 pan. Baked them 35 mins in our electric oven. They are moist, just a hint of crunch on the outside and fudgy inside. Rich but not sickening sweet. We do not frost them, just sprinkled powder sugar on top straight out of the oven. Wonderful recipe. Lol I guess I made 2 changes. 1) doubled the recipe and 2) added walnuts. I would definitely recommend these.

This was great! I actually made my own aluminum pan out of tin foil in order to bake it in my toaster oven. It turned out great. The recipe produced a thinner, chewy yet cakey brownie. I substituted brown sugar for the white. The icing definitely made it sweeter, but worked perfect as a little birthday treat for my husband. Thank you!!
