This recipe is horrible. Not just chewy, more like tough. It is very tart, makes you pucker. I’m an experienced cook and followed the recipe carefully. I took them to a neighborhood Christmas party. I was embarrassed, thank goodness I also took a plate of steamed shrimp and cocktail sauce. I came home and tore up the recipe and trashed it. I also dumped all the cookies in the trash. No one liked them, not even my 12 year old grandson who will eat just about anything. Don’t wast your time and money on this one.

I am an activity director at an assisted living facility. My residents and I made
this fun recipe this afternoon and we loved it! It made the building smell so good and it was fun and easy. The residents could not believe that we werent using water or eggs in the recipe and they just didnt believe it would turn out. But they did. They were so light and fluffy ! They also liked that these were on the healthier side of what we would normally make as we used an angel food cake and the sugar free preserves. We coated the pan with the spray and had no sticking issues at all. We kept watching the oven to make sure they were no over cooked. Also, we didnt have an elecric mixer so we mixed them by hand with no problem. We got 16 cookies and a fun afternoon!
Thanks food network!!

I normally love the smuckers recipes. This one however, is not good at all. I didn’t have the sticking issues, I did use a baking stone. I did have the flavor issue. I can’t quite explain the flavor, but it’s not good. Too bad too, I was really looking forward to eating these we love angel food cake.

I am great cook and have been making cookies for many years. I followed the instructions to the last word. these cookies were horrible. First they stuck to the cookie sheet. I greased it as instructed. they were even far too sticky for a sticky cookie and they tasted like raw angelfood cake dough.I would advise ,buy the angel Food cake mix . make the angelfood cake , Buy fresh strawberries ,put whip cream on the cake ,topwith strawberries and dot with the Chocolate chips.
