Reviews
Made the cookies and my family and friends loved them and requested the recipe. Did not have any issues, such as dryness, as described in some reviews. I thought they would brown on top when baking and wondered if they were done the first time I made them. The cookies did not brown when baking. They have a softer center. Experimented with baking a little longer, then turning off the oven and leaving cookies in the turned off oven for a few minutes. Cookies become crisp and brown on top when we did that and they are good that way too.
I made this recipe using chocolate cake mix and a bag of chocolate chips, no other add-ins. The cookies were fantastic. Not dry at all! Very, very easy.
Ok, I read these reviews and still decided to make these. I agree with Nancy C., these are horrendous! If you decide to make them, whatever you do, do NOT cook them for 8-10 minutes, they were so dry! There isn’t enough batter to go with the stuff you put in the batter. I will not make these again!
I love this cookie! I use up leftover bags of butterscotch chips, dried apricots, more pretzels than called for and it’s a great cookie! You can seriously add what ever you want! And I love how they come together so quickly.
Not worth the time or energy. I had hoped for some fun texture and flavors from all of the fun ingredients, but the cornflakes got soggy, and the pretzels didn’t shine. The chocolate chip flavor is about all you’ll taste. not interesting at all.
