Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar, plus more if needed
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 to 2 jalapenos, seeds and ribs removed, diced
- Grated zest and juice of 1 large orange (about 1/2 cup juice)
- 1 12-ounce bag fresh cranberries
- Grated zest of 1 lemon, plus 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Kosher salt
Instructions
- Combine the sugar, ginger, jalapenos, orange zest and orange juice. In a medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and cook 2 minutes. Add the cranberries and cook until they pop, 10 to 20 minutes, stirring frequently and adding water if the mixture appears too dry.
- Stir in the lemon zest and juice and season with salt or a bit more sugar. Let cool completely.
