Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar
- 2/3 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice, plus more for garnish
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 8 shots brewed espresso, hot
- 4 cups hot whole milk
- Flaky sea salt, optional
Instructions
- For the whipped cream: In a large bowl or in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, add the cream and whip until it holds soft peaks. Add the sugar and continue to whip until it holds firm peaks.
- For the pumpkin spice mocha: Into a small saucepan over medium-low heat, add the pumpkin puree, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla and 1 cup water. Stir until melted together to form a thick chocolate syrup, 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add 1/2 cup of the chocolate syrup to a large (2-cup) coffee mug. Add 2 shots of espresso and 1 cup of the hot milk and stir to combine. Repeat with the remaining ingredients and 3 more mugs. Top with dollops of whipped cream, a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice and a pinch of flaky salt if using.

Going to make mine with Chai instead of coffee can’t wait to try might replace my Starbucks habit lol
I was waiting for a nice chilly evening to make this. It was the perfect end to a cold night. I made mine with decaf since it was night time. Definitely will make it a lot more!
My kids wanted me to try this after seeing Valerie make this in her show. I didn’t expect to like it, but I did and so did my kids. The spices were very nice.
I made this for my son and he LOVED it! I doubled the recipe and poured the extra into an empty coffee creamer container for later:)
