Level: Easy
Total: 4 hr 30 min
Active: 40 min
Yield: 6 to 8 servings

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound fresh pizza dough
  2. Nonstick cooking spray, for the pan
  3. 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for brushing
  4. 1 pound sweet Italian sausage, removed from casing
  5. All-purpose flour, for dusting
  6. 2 cups fresh or store-bought basil pesto
  7. 4 ounces mortadella, thinly sliced and cut into squares
  8. 2 ounces pepperoni, thinly sliced and cut into squares
  9. 2 ounces Genoa salami, thinly sliced and cut into squares
  10. 8 ounces mozzarella, deli-sliced (the drier the better), cut into squares
  11. 3 sun-dried tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Remove the pizza dough from the refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature, 2 to 3 hours.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Spray a Bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Add the olive oil to a medium saute pan over medium-high heat and cook the sausage until brown, 12 to 15 minutes. Transfer to a medium bowl with a slotted spoon and allow to cool slightly.
  4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a long oval about 10 inches wide by 18 inches long. Spread 1/2 cup pesto in the middle of the dough, leaving about a 2-inch dough border.
  5. Add the mortadella, pepperoni, salami and mozzarella to the cooked sausage and toss to combine.
  6. Scoop the sausage mixture on top of the pesto. Fold both sides of the dough lengthwise around the filling to create a seam along the center of the log. Crimp the seam to seal. Place in the greased Bundt pan seam-side up. Poke holes along the top to release the steam. Bake until golden brown on top, about 25 minutes.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes. Place a cutting board on top of the Bundt pan and flip the wreath out carefully, then remove the pan.
  8. Form a sun-dried tomato bow by cutting one sun-dried tomato in half lengthwise. Arrange the remaining 2 sun-dried tomatoes end-to-end, then wrap one of the halves around its center and secure with a toothpick to make the bow. Cut the remaining half lengthwise into 2 pieces and arrange them hanging down from behind the back of the bow, securing with a toothpick.
  9. Serve the wreath with the remaining pesto in a bowl in the center. Garnish with the sun-dried tomato bow and gaze at the glory of the sausage wreath!

The wife made this with the olive oil dough I made this morning. This is FESTIVE! Terrific idea. Glad we still have that 30+ year old Bundt cake pan.

Was pretty plain..-Not making this one again

So delicious! I added a small shallot, minced, and shredded parmesan inside & on the outside before baking! I also swapped the sausage for crispy, chopped bacon. I, too, used a marinara instead of pesto! So many possibilities & EASY!

I saw the recipe on The Kitchen so had to try it! I didn’t use a Bundt pan, but it was still delicious and so easy! I used pizza dough and made two! I added onion and red bell pepper to the dish for more flavor.

Since there were so many great reviews here, I had to try this recipe. I didn’t have mortadella and couldn’t get it at the store so I used peas, mushrooms, and caramelized onions to fill in for that. It came out great and my family couldn’t literally stop eating it, just like other people said. I have to make more tomorrow! LOL!

Making this today for our Super Bowl Super Cheat Day! Using hamburger, ham, and pepperoni and a base of homemade red sauce instead of the pesto! Can’t wait!!!

I watched the episode of Jeff making this and made it on Xmas. It was easy and really good. I think it’ll be a new xmas tradition.

This was so delicious. I made it yesterday and it was gone in a matter of minutes. My kids asked if I can make another one today. So so good!

I really shouldn’t comment because I haven’t tasted this yet, although I’m sure it will be wonderful.  I made it today and will serve it on Christmas as a “side dish”.  I used food coloring in the pan and I have a green wreath!  Love it.  Can’t wait to taste it.
