Haystacks are perfect for the holidays: They’re so easy!

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups white chocolate chips
  2. 3 cups chow mein noodles
  3. 1/2 cup roughly chopped almonds
  4. 1/2 cup shelled pistachios
  5. Red nonpareils, for decorating

Instructions

  1. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Fill a pot with 2 inches of water and bring to a simmer. Put the white chocolate chips in a bowl and place over the pot of simmering water (don’t let the bottom of the bowl touch the water). Allow to melt, stirring occasionally, 4 to 5 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, combine the noodles, almonds and pistachios in a large bowl. Set aside.
  3. When the white chocolate has melted completely, pour it over the noodle and nut mixture. Mix until everything is well coated.
  4. Using 2 spoons, drop 24 tablespoon-size mounds onto the baking sheets. Sprinkle with nonpareils. Allow to set completely, about 1 hour. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or refrigerate for up to 1 week.
