Ingredients

  1. 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  2. 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  3. 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  4. Fine sea salt
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  6. 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Add the condensed milk to a small saucepan. Pour the chips into the pan, give a stir, and make sure that the milk coats all the chips. Add a pinch of salt. Cook over low heat until it’s melted and glossy and a looks like a thick, hot fudge.
  2. Add the vanilla and walnuts, making sure to coat the nuts with the fudge. (I like to make double triple batches of this and freeze the extra.)
  3. Line the bottom and sides of a 9-inch square baking pan with foil. You want to leave about 4 inches of overhang on the 2 opposite sides. These serve as your handles to remove the fudge from the pan in 1 piece, so make sure that there is enough of the overhang for you to have a solid grip.
  4. Pour the fudge into the pan and smooth it out, getting it in all the corners. Let the fudge come to room temperature, then put in the fridge for 3 hours or so. This will make it easier to cut.
  5. Pop out of the pan and cut into little pieces.

I just made it a few hours ago , except I had to use the chocolate chips I had on hand which was 1 cup of nestle espresso chips , 2 cup of 74 % cacao chips. . Oh my goodness it is delicious! My husband and son thought it was the best fudge.
Such a easy fudge recipe….

So easy to make and yummy! I’ll definitely double or triple it the next time I make it. Also, make sure your burner is on low and remove from
The heat when adding In The vanilla. Then pour directly into your pan.
So fun that I can’t wait to add new toppings instead of the walnuts next time.

Fudge making intimidates me. THIS was perfect both in preparing and end result. I think that complaint about runny and problems was possibly due to not cooking on low. My grandmother was an incredible sweet maker, she told me ‘don’t rush it will run away on you’. Meaning cook slowly. I hope they try again because I’m being inundated with requests for more.

This fudge is great! We only slightly modify it by not adding the chopped walnuts, and it always turns out amazingly! Whether you top it with white chocolate chips for a decorative twist or crushed candy canes for a seasonal treat, this fudge is always fabulous!

Best fudge ever! Wonderful Christmas treat topped with crushed candy canes or just plain. We sometimes put white chocolate chips on it but no matter what we top it with it’s always delicious! We lately have been putting caramel in it as well, and it’s so delicious! This is my favorite fudge!

The best fudge recipe ever, so smooth, creamy and delicious, I read some reviews. Some people say the chocolate burns or you can see the cream. First of all cook on low, med. stirring constantly till it’s almost making homemade fudge pudding. Don’t give up on it, it’s really, really delicious.. everyone I know loves it! Better then most fudge recipe because others are to sweet..
