These are delicious! The flavor combo of the spices will shock you! I found that it was easier to cut the mini bagels all the way through (they leave part of them connected) and then cut them in half across it before cutting them horizontally. It is true that you only get 1/2 of the chip that way but it is the perfect size for dipping and cuts down on double-dipping! The magnificent flavor is what counts! Oh!-it is not that easy to find the dried mint but there is a store in every small town in America that starts with a “W” and ends in a “t” that carries it!
It’s extremely difficult to get the mini bagel in 4 slices, especially if the bagel is sliced in half already. It never showed her slicing the bagel so I’m not sure how she got hers so perfect. Anyway, the spice mix was interesting. I may do some garlic/onion powder next time and less olive oil. Needed more salt in my opinion. Otherwise, everything else was good, definitely not as pretty and perfect as Ree’s but this is a good recipe that I am giving as part of a Christmas goodie basket for my parents.
I used my own seasoning of two Papa John’s garlic butter tubs plus added a Tbsp of butter and spooned it on six Mini Whole Wheat Bagels (12 halves). Five more minutes was added onto the eight for extra crispy bites. Tasty!
