You can NOT get anything simpler, yet so tasty, to create for your BBQ! If you stick to the original recipe you won’t be disappointed- the sweetness combined with the tiny touch of heat while you’re eating it. The guests all raved and I agree! You can also put this in your oven, skin on, at 350 for 30 minutes, use thighs (they don’t dry out as easily) and crisp the skin on top when you are ready to take it out. I added a little extra hot Cajun spice the next time I made it and it was just as popular. Enjoy!
It was absolutely delicious!!! Marinated it over night. No changes on the recipe.
I tried this recipe on Memorial day and it was wonderful! I tried something different. Instead of grilling the chicken breast, I smoked them in my smoker and, like I said, it was wonderful. Just remember to marinate the breast for at least 8 hours before smoking.
Delicious…so easy & tasty.
Made this for Memorial Day 2018 and earmarked it for lots of future use! Instead of brown sugar, I had to use an artificial sweetener. I also added some dried, diced onions and about 1/4 cup of water. My husband told me that this one is a keepie!
My 16 yr old made this with chicken thighs. Great dish.
Very good! Tasty and moist chicken breast. Will make again.
The was a great recipe… love it
It was surprisingly delicious an easy to make.
The taste was good, but I would increase the amount of marinade next time.
Everybody who ate the chicken said it was really good! I agree.
Everyone loved it.
Really liked flavor. !
Simple and easy meal with things I had in the house! I did switch it up a bit into a quick Mommy BBQ! I kept all ingredients the same but instead of marinating, I threw everything into a slow cooker and cooked on high for 4.5 hours for 3 large breasts. Chicken was literally falling apart (which is awesome for my littles) and I topped with more BBQ sauce. Family was raving!
Great marinade, can be made in n the oven also.
I marinated overnight. Thought that it tenderized the chicken too much. If I make it again, I will reduce the amount of marinating time. The flavor was very good.
Tried this sauce with Old Bay seasoning instead of cajun and fresh minced garlic–insanely good!
Easy and was really nice to have the BBQ taste without having to glaze over your chicken on your plate with BBQ sauce.
Nice basic marinade. I will try a stronger cajun spice blend next time.. or more.. I marinated for a couple of days
I love this recipe. I added about 2 tbsp of already prepared bbq sauce just because I had never made BBQ from scratch. I’m sure I would not have needed to add it, though. It was so good. The chicken was so tender.
Made it today and it was a crowd pleaser, I will defiantly make this again.
