While stationed in Kleine Brogel AB in Belgium, I acquired this recipe. It is actual!

Ingredients
- ½ teaspoon ground paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 3 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 2-inch pieces
- ½ cup white sugar
- ½ cup lemon juice
- 1 ½ teaspoons curry powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Stir paprika, salt, and pepper together in a small bowl. Beat eggs in another bowl. Place bread crumbs in a third bowl.
- Sprinkle seasoning over chicken pieces. Dip pieces in beaten egg, then dredge in bread crumbs. Arrange chicken pieces in a single layer on the prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, turning halfway through.
- Meanwhile, stir sugar, lemon juice, and curry powder together in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook and stir until sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes.
- After chicken has cooked for 15 minutes, remove from the oven and drizzle lemon sauce over top. Return to the oven and bake for 5 more minutes.

Reviews
I’m a vegetarian but made this for my family and they loved it. As others have recommended – I cut the sugar in half. I also sprinkled a little extra paprika. Will make again. Fast, easy and delicious
Tasted great! My family loved it. Will add this to my other recipes. Very easy to make.
It’s okay. Not that great. Wouldn’t make it again.
Reduced lemon juice to 1/4 cup and sugar to two tablespoons. Definently do not use the listed amount of lemon. Was pretty good then.
I made it for my husband and me tonight. At first I was a little skeptical about the sugar, but actually it adds to the sauce and isn’t sweet. However, you can put a little less if you are concerned. It actually was delicious! You could also use the sauce for fish, for example
I tried this last night and this is the best recipe. I have never thought to make a sauce like this and it was amazing. I didn’t change a thing and I will make forever more
The family loved it. I would only change the amount of sugar. A little sweet. It was fast and easy to make.
My daughter never eats my chicken and she devours this every time. It’s sweet with the lemon and curry adding zing
I made a change with the lemon juice and used lime juice and fresh squeezed oranges and added a hint of basil And made brussel sprouts and cabbage with rice and used the same mixture on the rice and the brussel sprouts
less sugar next time
I would use Panko breadcrumbs if you like it crunchier
I substituted ground steel cut oats and flax seeds for bread crumbs and 1/2 tea spoon of stevia for the 1/2 cup of sugar.. I love it and will make it again. It’s a great recipe.
I guess it’s great! All the plates from my husband and teenage sons were practically licked clean!(I’m a vegetarian so I didn’t actually taste it). An easy weeknight go to from now on!
I read the reviews before making this dish and only used half of the sugar. It was still super sweet. Probably only needed an 1/8 C sugar. I think honey would also be a nice substitute. Everyone liked it, but I thought the sweetness was a little much. Very yummy though! I will probably make this again.
Only change I made was cutting the curry powder. I’ve never cooked with it soo didn’t want to chance ruining the flavor. I call this lemonade chicken & my kids love this dish. It’s everyone’s favorite. I sometimes use olive oil instead of eggs and I boil up some bow tie pasta put it in the bottom of my Pyrex dish and add the sauce before I place in the oven @350 for 40 minutes
Very yummy I didn’t have the curry powder so I substituted it with paprika still tasted great
Perfect for a quick meal. Kids loved it.
I had to make this gluten free and sugar free. I substituted erythritol for the sugar and use very finely shredded (macaroon) unsweetened coconut for the bread crumbs. Because my husband hates curry I left that out but I am sure I would love it.
Although my husband thought it was ok I did not care for the sauce. I did add corn starch to thicken it and cut the sugar to 3 tablespoons but would probably cut it even more. I also added some shallots.
Strong curry flavor, would call it chicken curry.very flavorful and quick!
would make again
