Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) bottle Italian-style salad dressing
- 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Instructions
- Pour salad dressing into a large resealable plastic bag. Add chicken breasts, seal bag, and shake to coat. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight (the longer you marinate, the more flavor the chicken will absorb).
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Remove chicken from marinade and place in a lightly greased 9×13-inch baking dish; discard remaining marinade.
- Bake in the preheated oven, turning chicken occasionally, until cooked through and juices run clear, about 1 hour. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

Love it
I do this, but I cook in crockpot. So juicy and tender
Because it gets unbearable hot here in Alabama, I make this in the crockpot! My family loves it ❤️
We added some parm and mozz at the very end. AWESOME!!
This has to be one of the easiest dishes with an excellent effort-to-outcome ratio. When I first heard about a similar recipe, I was skeptical. But, you can take pretty much any bottled salad dressing and do this (probably not creamy ones, like 1000 island…). I’ve done it with Greek, Catalina, and many others.
YUM,YUM!!
My mom did this since I was a child, it is delicious! It pairs well with spaghetti. Also good with bone in chicken and on the grill it is awesome!
Delicious and so easy.
I’ve been doing chicken l8ke this for years, always a hit! Most times I also add garlic powder to the concoction. Another optional add is blue cheese crumbles! Yum! Super easy!
I marinated 3 large chicken breasts in Wishbone Italian dressing for 6 hours then placed them in a baking dish sprayed with olive oil. I cooked them covered with aluminum foil for an hour, then removed the foil and cooked them on 350 using convection for another 30 minutes. Convection browned them to a more pleasing hue without drying them out too much. These could also be easily cooked in the air fryer following similar instructions. They turned out delicious. I served them with broccoli and rice casserole.
I have been making this for years in my Crockpot!! So yummy.
This is great! I also like to grill my chicken on the grill. When doing that I always use a ‘light’ dressing to keep from having flame ups. Kens Light Caesar dressing is also very good marinade.
I loved it
Excellent if you want a quick but good marinate.
This has my go to for years. Great flavoring however, I have tried other Italian dressing but found that Wishbone Italian dressing is the best and has the best flavoring.
I made it for my wife to take to work. She said it was Great!! Put it over a bed of cheddar and broccoli rice!!
This was a hit at my house. I marinated for 6 hours, but will probably go overnight next time. I also baked the breasts in the marinade . And the addition of FRESH mushrooms, not canned, I strongly recommend. I gave it 4 stars, my guy gave it 5.
This turned out really really good! I tweaked it bun adding black pepper to the chicken after marinating it. I used Ken’s Steakhouse Light version of Italian dressing to marinate and bake the chicken in. I also removed the chicken from the oven 15 minutes prior to finish and spooned Parmesan cheese over the top of each piece of chicken breast, then sprinkled on some chopped crispy bacon and let it finish cooking for 15 minutes to melt and brown the Parmesan cheese. I also tenderized my chicken before baking it by pounding it with a small meat mallet and covered the dish with foil for the first 45 minutes of baking to prevent the chicken from drying out during baking. Everyone at dinner loved it and I do plan to make it again. Thanks for sharing!!
This is soooo good, I’ve made it like 10 times so far & each time it comes out awesome
It was so goooood!!!!
I don’t think I’ll be making this recipe again… please post this review, hence it comes from my opinion and my heart and people should also read the negative reviews
