Buffalo Chicken Bites

  5.0 – 2 reviews  • Pan-Fried Chicken

At any football gathering, these Buffalo chicken nibbles are always in high demand. Any sauce type is acceptable while making the bites. Personally, I like to combine a quarter cup of hot sauce with a quarter cup of barbecue sauce.

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 30 mins
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  2. 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
  3. 1 teaspoon salt
  4. 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  5. 2 eggs
  6. 1 cup vegetable oil
  7. 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into 1-inch pieces
  8. ¼ cup hot sauce
  9. 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  10. 1 teaspoon butter

Instructions

  1. Whisk flour, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper together in a bowl. Beat eggs together in a separate bowl. Dip chicken pieces in egg; transfer chicken to flour mixture and coat completely.
  2. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Fry coated chicken pieces in hot oil, working in batches, until no longer pink in the center, about 3 minutes per side; drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  4. Combine hot sauce, garlic, and butter in a microwave-safe bowl; heat in the microwave until butter is melted and sauce is warm, about 1 minute. Serve hot sauce mixture as a dipping sauce or pour over buffalo chicken bites.
  5. The nutrition data for this recipe includes the full amount of the breading ingredients. The actual amount of the breading consumed will vary. We have determined the nutritional value of oil for frying based on a retention value of 10% after cooking. The exact amount will vary depending on cooking time and temperature, ingredient density, and the specific type of oil used.

I would like to make the recipe for the bites shown in the picture, but this recipe does not include the bread (biscuit mix perhaps?) the bites are on? Anyone know the complete recipe?

The boys loved it…. although either I made it wrong or this picture doesn’t go with this recipe.
