I love that I can cook a patty plus melt the cheese in the air fryer. It makes for a quick cleanup!

Yield: | 8 bacon cheeseburger sliders |
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (preferably 80% lean)
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 8 slices bacon, cooked
- 8 slider buns, split
- 4 leaves butter lettuce, torn in half
- 2 Roma tomatoes, cut into 8 slices
- 1 red onion, very thinly sliced
- Barbecue sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise and yellow mustard, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat an air fryer to 375˚ F.
- Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions. Roll each into a loose ball, then press them flat until they are each just wider than the slider buns (they should be about 1/2 inch thick). Make a small indentation in the center of each patty. Season the patties generously with salt and pepper.
- Place the patties in an air fryer basket in a single layer. Close the fryer and cook until the patties are browned and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the patties registers 150˚ F, 5 to 7 minutes.
- Place a slice of cheese and a slice of bacon on each patty and cook until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to the desired doneness, about 1 minute.
- Carefully remove the patties from the air fryer. Serve on the slider buns with lettuce, tomato, red onion, barbecue sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard.
