Holiday Cheese Ball Wreath

  4.1 – 27 reviews  • Appetizer
Bring your outdoor holiday wreath inside with this festive and easy cheeseball. Use a small Bundt pan to form a wreath shape, or roll the mixture into a ball or log. For a cheeseball worthy of any big gathering, skip the Bundt pan and colorful garnish and roll the ball in toasted sliced almonds instead.

Yield: 16 to 20 servings

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound cream cheese, at room temperature
  2. 2 cups shredded firm cheese, such as Cheddar, pepper Jack or Colby
  3. 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  4. Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  5. 1/2 cup pickled piquante peppers, such as Peppadews, finely chopped
  6. 1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves, finely chopped
  7. 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh chives
  8. Crackers, sliced bread or crudites, for serving

Instructions

  1. Line the inside of a 6-cup Bundt pan with plastic wrap. Process the cream cheese, shredded cheese, Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt and few grinds of pepper in a food processor until smooth. Empty the mixture into a medium bowl, and fold in all but 2 tablespoons of the chopped peppers.
  2. Spoon the cheese mixture into the prepared Bundt pan; pack it in, spread into an even layer and cover (or simply form the cheese mixture into a ball and wrap tightly with plastic wrap). Refrigerate until chilled, at least 1 hour up to 2 days.
  3. Uncover and invert the cheese mold (or unwrap and transfer the ball) onto a serving platter. Sprinkle with the chives and parsley to completely coat the wreath, and garnish with the reserved 2 tablespoons peppers. Serve with crackers, sliced bread or crudites.

Great and easy appetizer!
I make this every New Years Eve and always a big hit. I add one cup of chopped peppadews and a dash of the oil the peppers come in for a lot more flavor. I also top with slivered almonds in addition to the parsley and pepper.

Tasteless. Really surprised at this VERY average recipe on this site.  Just goes to show you, there’s no accounting for some peoples’ taste.

Easy to make even without a small Bundt pan. It was special to serve a cheese ball as a wreath. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Loved this recipe! I made it for my family at Christmas. I used blue cheese in place of cheddar and it turned out great.

FYI folks Wostershire sauce is not vegetarian. They claim this is a vegetarian recipe. The other thing is a lot of cheeses are not vegetarian. They contain rennet. Unless listed as vegetable rennet it comes from cows. Almost all Cabot brand cheese is vegetarian friendly.

I made this for a Christmas party last year and it was a hit! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because it was much smaller than I anticipated.

I made this for a party last night and everyone loved it.  I made 1 and 1/2 of the amounts.  I did go ahead and use some extra white cheddar as I din;t want to waste it. To keep it form being messy while decorating, put wax paper under the ring like you were icing a cake.
