This sweetly addictive snack mix is a crowd favorite. The perfect bite is a few of the chocolate-peanut buttery pieces of cereal with a piece of butterscotch and a banana. Make ahead and store in an airtight container for up to 3 days, although it won’t last long!

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  2. 2/3 cup peanut butter
  3. 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  4. 1/3 malted milk powder

  7. 2 cups freeze-dried bananas or banana chips
  8. 1 cup butterscotch chips

Instructions

  1. Combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, butter and malted milk in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until smooth. Put the cereal in a large bowl, pour in the melted chocolate-peanut butter and stir until evenly coated.
  2. Allow the cereal to cool slightly, and then tranfer to a large brown paper bag or resealable plastic bag. Add the confectioners’ sugar, bananas and butterscotch chips. Tightly close or seal the bag and toss to coat well. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

fed this to my monkeys, they did not like it very not realistic for a monkeys diet, if you are a monkey/gorilla owner i would not recomend making it for them, but i had a bite and tapped into my inner monkey after eating it and slept in the cage that night

Just finished making this and it turned out really delicious.I melted the butter on the stove and poured it over the rest of the ingredients and ended up nuking it for 30 seconds, mixed, and 15 more seconds. It melted perfectly. It makes a whole lot so when it came time to put in the powdered sugar, I divided it among two 1 gallon Ziploc bags and shook it in that. There is info missing on the ingredients. It says 1/3 malted milk pwd, so I assumed it meant cups.
