Ingredients

  1. 2 tablespoons salted butter
  2. 1 cup cornflakes cereal, crushed
  3. 1 tablespoon sugar
  4. 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  5. Pinch kosher salt
  6. 3 scoops ice cream of your choice (vanilla, strawberry, pistachio)
  7. Canned whipped cream, for serving
  8. 1 tablespoon rainbow sprinkles
  9. 3 maraschino cherries with stems

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the crushed cornflakes and toast until golden, about 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the sugar, cinnamon and salt. Allow to cool slightly.
  3. Scoop the ice cream into a bowl or bowls, and spoon over generous quantities of the fried cornflake crumbs. Top with some whipped cream, sprinkles and maraschino cherries.
