Reviews
this recipe was super easy and very good. I mixed wasabi powder into the ground macadamia nuts along with black sesame seeds. I was out of ground ginger, but I would have added that, too. I love my tuna with a kick to it.
I used Sesame oil to sear the tuna instead of Canola Oil. I put in a bit of soy sauce, too.
Very good and I’ll make this again, probably with a new twist! I can never follow a recipe to a “T” as I love to play with my food!
My husband and I always prepare local tuna while on our Outer Banks, NC vacation with our family each year. Last year, we made this recipe, and no one in my family can stop talking about it. We usually prepare it differently each year, but I think we are going to repeat this one!!! This is the perfect recipe for those who are skeptical fish or tuna eaters….delightful!
I had a very similar tuna dish at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Oahu. One of the best recipes I’ve ever used.
We wanted to try our Tuna prepared a new way and am I glad I picked this recipe! The macadamia crust was soooooo good, and preparing it medium rare just made it even better! (Just be sure to chop those nuts pretty small as if you have any large pieces they might fall off the fish.)
