My family loved it and easy to make.

Wow..this was so easy and delicious! I only had 1lb of ground beef so that’s what I used. I added about a pound of frozen green beans and only had a handful of the french fried onions so that’s all I used. My family inhaled this. Everyone loved it and can’t wait for me to make it again.

I gave this 5 stars for it’s versatility alone. You can easily rename this to “empty your cupboards “ dish. Like many others, I didn’t have the exact soups called for, but as one reviewer said, “you can add cream of anything “. I also had a fear it would be dry so I used 3 cans of soup, mushroom, chicken, and broccoli cheese. But I really don’t think you can go wrong with anything you like.

Didn’t use onions but did add 1 tsp garlic powder. Added a can of cheddar cheese soup along with cream of celery and cream of mushroom. Also mixed in shredded cheese and topped with cheese.

It was good. I think next time i will put in a can of green beans (drained) in with the soup and tots just to give it a little more flavor.

Very good dish! About half of another can of “cream of” soup is needed and don’t forget to season the beef as its cooking. It can be kind of bland if not.

Added fresh sliced mushrooms and parmesan cheese with the tots and soup. Also used lower sodium soups.

I have made this for years and my family loves it. I always added vegetables on top and tator tots on the top!

This was really good! I always read a handful of reviews before I make any recipe so I did follow advice on putting the tater tots on the bottom. I mixed the cooked ground beef with the soup and added green beans and put on top and stirred it every 15 minutes. It turned out great! My husband really liked it and he’s not a big casserole fan. Will definitely make again.

This was a staple in our house when my kids were growing up. I still make it and now they make it for their families! We do it a little different. I use cream of chicken soup just because it’s our preference. I mix the soup with the browned, seasoned ground beef and put that in the bottom of a baking dish. I put a can of French Cut green beans on top of that, a substantial layer of shredded cheddar cheese and then I line up the tater tots on top. The first time my DIL made it for my son he walked in, looked at it and said “What’s that?” She announced it was tater tot casserole, she had just dumped the tater tots on top and it was unrecognizable to him. He informed her “Mom always lines them up…” She let him know he was spoiled! LOLOL!!! Gotta love tater tot casserole!!

Easy, comforting, and filling meal. Paired with some mixed veggies (peas, corns, green beans, & carrot mix). Reminds me of a beef potpie. After seeing the reviews about the dish burning at 350* for 1 hour I lowered the temp to 325* and it came out dark brown & crusty on the bottom, but not burnt.

Followed the directions as written

I’ve made this recipe a few times and everyone who has had it raved about it! I usually make it for my family/coworkers so I double the batch and use a 50oz can of cream of mushroom instead of four smaller cans of cream of mushroom and cream of celery and it turns out perfect. I also don’t defrost the tater tots and just mix them in frozen. I like that this recipe doesn’t call for mixed vegetables because most of the people I cook for are picky and don’t like the taste/texture of mushy cooked vegetables in hot dish, besides the onion, of course. The crunchy fried onions really top it off nicely. I place foil over the pan for the first 45 minutes in the oven and then remove it for the last 15 minutes so the fried onions get crispy and browned but not burnt. This will definitely be a staple in my recipe box!

My family loved this recipe, the only thing I did different was add garlic powder and a pinch of cumin to the hamburger and I added cheese with the french fries onions! Mmmmm so yummy!

My family loved this, even my wife who is very picky. I did stir a little at 45 min and added shredded cheddar for the last 15 which was really good.

Delicious! I added can if cheddar and can of peas, mixed all together. Put tator tots on top with cheddar cheese and fried onions the last to minutes. Check after 30 minutes. Loved it

Used ground turkey. Family loved it. Was fast and easy, just the way I like making dinner.

Fried onion rings were getting too brown so I added foil to cover and it came out great.

It was filling. Easy comfort/bar food almost. Not bad.
