This has quickly become a regular in my menus, when I make it I add rice right in the pan one of my cans of soup I use a Broccoli Cheese Soup or a Cheddar Cheese Soup. When its about 30 mins from being done I adda jar of cheese spread to the pan mix it around. Let it finish baking it’s so much creamy, cheesy goodness!!
I only used one can of soup and next time only use 1 cup of bread crumbs. I also cut up about a cup of onion. Very good.
This was the first time I made it & it was so salty it was hard to eat. I have a lot of leftovers & hopefully we’ll eat it. If I make it again I’ll use 50% less salt chicken soup in the can. Other than the sale we liked it.
This is an excellent recipe. Ive made many versions of this, changing up the soups and bread crumbs and adding different cheeses on top with bread crumbs. The favorite one is by adding rice. It soaks up the extra liquid to avoid the soupy dish and giving a bigger meal for the extra mouths to feed. All in all, this is definitely an oldy but goody recipe.
I used a combo of panko, fried onions, and seasoned breadcrumbs. I didn’t have any cream of chicken soup but I did have a bunch of mushrooms so I made cream of mushroom soup! So easy. Ran short on the broccoli but I think it will be ok. I thought of peas or celery but…Also added extra garlic and onion powder.
We did not like it. I used one mushroom and one chicken soup and potato chips crushed for the topping. It was way too soupy. It needed more sour cream. I avoid tossing it the next day added more sour cream and shredded hashbrowns. It still was not to our taste. Granted, I am a chef and we live in the south where flavor is the most important. I will not make again. I always try not to change a recipe to mush, but the little I did change I don’t think it would have made a difference. We just wanted something easy for the week. Tossing out the rest.
Very good. Quick and easy to make. My family loved it. I covered it with foil before baking because the bread crumbs wanted to burn.
Found this to make for work and my residents absolutely love it, added a little more than 3 cups or chicken but it came out excellently!
Absolutely one of our favorite casseroles! Served with rice, delicious. I used crushed Ritz crackers for topping, love the crunch. I make this all the time!
A few weeks ago, I made it as it was, but only one can of cream of chicken soup, 2- bags 9oz. Purdue’s done seasoned chicken strips, broccoli, shredded cheddar, sour cream, pepper, etc. it came out great, but husband said- too much chicken. Made it Yesterday, so added just 1 package / 9 oz. Chicken cut up and instead of regular bread crumbs, I used Stovetop stuffing with butter and some water to soften it up on 1/2 and also added riced cauliflower. Other 1/2 with regular seasoned breadcrumbs and boy what a meal! Thank you for all your great dinner ideas! -Karen B. Be
Tasty, but I followed recipe and it was closer to soup than casserole. Next time only one can of soup.
I added a little curry powder and a squeeze of lemon juice.
So easy it’s awesome! The hardest part is getting your chicken ready. I never used canned chicken, so I boil
We both loved it, which doesn’t always happen! Will definitely make again.
This was an easy recipe. The only thing I changed was to use 1 can of cream of chicken and one can of cream of mushroom soup. I also used a blend of cheeses instead of straight cheddar. And, I reduced the amount of breadcrumbs. Delicious!
I just finished making this casserole. I had leftover Costco rotissere chicken, broccoli from yesterdays dinner, and some leftover bacon. I followed the recipe to a “T” except for adding the bacon and some salt. This is definitely a keeper. Going to make some rice with chicken boullion as a side and maybe a salad as well. Soooo yummy 🙂
I made with fresh steamed broccoli and boneless skinless chicken breast. Great recipe good low carb for diabetics.
My family loves it!!!! ❤️
The lunch ladies loved it!! My husband ate all the leftovers… so he loved it also!
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Easy peasy. I made the chicken and broccoli casserole. NEXT TIME I WILL PUT RICE IN IT. HAS SO MUCH FLAVOR. You have got to try it.
I added onion for flavor. This is a quick, good recipe. I also cut down on amount of bread crumbs. Good weeknight dinner
