A bit dry
It is delicious. The only thing is that I’m use to homemade stuffing.. Will definitely make again.
I mixed everything together except cheese. Topped off with the cheese and dressing (pre cooked dressing, fresh broccoli). One can mushroom, one can cream of chicken. Added a bit of water. Came out moist with a bit of crunch on top. Didn’t have milk or mayo so used half and half. All loved it.
This was a great dish! I doubled the soup and the mayo, used a whole box of stuffing and added milk till it was the consistency I liked. I also put in a microwave steamed bag of broccoli. I mixed everything together and skipped the cheese because I didn’t have any. It turned out better than I expected and my husband loved it.
I added a little milk to soup , also, added garlic, a pinch of cayenne..covered it as first time stuffing was dry.
The basic recipe has potential but it needed a lot of work. The initial recipe wasn’t quite enough to fill a 9×13 pan. It is better suited for a 9×9 pan. I had to double the all the ingredients and I added seasoning salt, granulated garlic, white pepper, & onion powder for improved flavor.
My husband liked this recipe. I used 2 cans of cream of chicken soup with 1/2 can of milk instead of mayo. Made stove top stuffing on side. When I made this again will try 1 can of cream of chicken and 1 can of cream of broccoli and add same extra spices. Thank you for the recipe.
Great dish!
It was delicious, I used 2 cans of condensed cream of broccoli and instead of mayonnaise, I used 1/2 can of milk.
This was a great basic recipe. I took the advise from other reviews and increased the liquid to 2 cans and replaced the mayo with milk. I also used fresh broccoli and didn’t steam it before placing in the oven. It had a wonderful crunch to it and 3 out of 4 family members enjoyed it.
Amazing we loved it. Made exactly as written
The taste is very good, but the recipe needs some tweaking about the dressing on top. It needs to be moistened or cooked beforehand, because “as written” it tasted like crunchy “croutons” on top. I used part of a bag of Pepperidge Farm dressing (less than half).
I made this but meant to double it. Only doubled the chicken so I have to make it again to give a better score… sorry. It was totally MY fault and I know this. I will try again!
The only thing I did different was buying a can of of condensed cheddar cheese and mixed in about a quarter of the can with the soup mixture and then the rest of the can on top of the casserole. It was amazing!
5 star recipe if you alternate the recipe! I subbed 3/4 milk for mayo, added the spices, cooked thighs with white pepper, onion powder and a clove of minced garlic. No layering necessary. Mix all together. Cheese on top with Ritz crackers since I didn’t have stuffing. Italian spices. Also…made use of about 2 cups mac n cheese and threw that all in there too! So good. Very satisfying recipe.
Very bland following the ingredients the recipe calls for. I think if I make this again I would try it with with 2 x the Cream of mushroom soup and substitute bread crumbs for the stuffing mix while adding garlic and/or maybe a layer of salsa.
I baked it in my microwave for 25 minutes. Maybe it will take longer in a different microwave. Very tasty.
The recipe is fine and works but I would much rather fry or bake the chicken, roast the broccoli and serve with rice or potatoes. Similar meal and uses less processed ingredients. It wouldn’t take you much longer to make either.
Was so looking forward to this, but was very disappointed. So bland & boring. It was slightly better the next day when the dressing had the chance to moisten overnight, but definitely won’t make it again.
Tasty but dry with only one can of soup. I would add 2 cream of chicken soups next time.
The casserole was great. I used fresh broccoli and covered it with foil when baked it. I had some canned onion that I sprinkled on top. This a nice flavor. Glenna Bushman
