this was a hit with my office party. I added peanut butter chocolate chip to the top. worked great.
I’ve been making this cheesecake for many years and have found that cutting the amount of sugar in half doesn’t affect it at all. Also, freezing the dough for the top layer allows you to cut it very thin and cover more area. I now just smash it thin it in the palms of my hands to cover the top. I gave the cheesecake to coworkers for Christmas this year and it was a big hit!
Great!!!
Very good. I used turtle cookie dough.
It was good. The cheesecake part of it came out pretty eggy so I might try this again with just 1 egg next time. I also baked this in a non stick casserole pan and it came out of the pan perfectly.
Do not add the eggs its not needed messed up the whole thing
Very good. Did not change a thing about the recipe
Very simple recipe!! I think we have found our new favorite dessert to bring to gatherings with friends!
It was good but it was hard to get it out of the pan. Also, there weren’t enough cookies to cover the top so I added some choc chips to it. It was yummy though.
We’ve been making this recipe for about 40 years now. My mother used to work at Western Electric in North Andover, Massachusetts, and brought the recipe home. An easy to make dessert!
I halfed the recipe since there’s just two of us. I used an 8×8 pan. Put parchment in the bottom and it was easy to get out of pan. I also made a half recipe of real cookie dough (as I had all the ingredients). It was delicious. I’ll be making this again.
I’ve made this for family and friends and it disappears right away. I don’t like cheesecake, so I can’t make any personal comments as I’ve never tasted this myself.
Used 40 mini choc chip cookies already divided. 20 for bottom and 20 for top. Added 1 cup sour cream to mix. Whole family loved it.
I made it for a church function & there was nothing left. Simple & delicious. Definitely a go to!
Fantastic & Easy! Everyone can’t get enough! I have been asked for the recipe about 20 times today!
My clints and family absolutely loved this an want me to bake more
I have been making a similar recipe for years and taking it to events where I needed a fast dessert. I bake it in a jelly roll pan, so it makes lots of big bars. It is the easiest recipe in the world to ‘punt’ substitutions for whatever you have on hand–M&M’s, mini chocolate chips, raisins, Heath pieces, different cookie dough, etc. If you don’t have pre-made cookie dough, use a vanilla (or other) cake mix and the Cake Mix Cookies recipe instead. It works just as well. I know–I’ve done it. I add vanilla to my cheesecake part and use half the sugar just on personal taste. I also mix chopped pecans in with the reserved topping part of the cookie dough for texture and crunch. When I am taking the bars to a more upscale event than a football tailgate, I drizzle with white chocolate and dark chocolate diagonally for a pretty effect. Kids and adults love this and it’s easy, fast and versatile. What more could you want?
Easy and delicious! I used a 9 in spring form pan and increased the cheesecake portion by 1/2 to fill the pan better.
This was pretty decent, but my family personally has other quick cheesecake recipes we prefer.
Awesome, easy and fun.
It was a big hit. Came out perfect and so easy to make.
