Ingredients
- Cooking spray, for coating the baking pan
- 1 2/3 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 2/3 cup shredded coconut
- 2/3 cup chopped walnuts
- One 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
- Big pinch kosher salt
- Confectioners’ sugar, for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Coat an 8-by-8-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
- Combine the graham crackers, coconut, walnuts, condensed milk, chocolate chips and salt in a medium bowl. Stir with a wooden spoon until thoroughly combined. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press to the edges.
- Bake until the chocolate melts and the top is golden, 15 to 20 minutes. Stir the hot mixture in the pan until the chocolate is incorporated throughout. Press back out to the edges and set aside until cool enough to handle.
- Spread the confectioners’ sugar on a dinner plate. Scoop out the brownie mixture by the tablespoon and shape into balls. While still warm, roll each ball in the sugar to coat. The bonbons will keep, tightly covered, for 2 days.

Very easy and delicious. Family loved them. I used a can of fat-free, evaporated milk. Since that’s all I had. So mine were not super sweet. Which only made it easier for us to eat them all.
Year’s ago I found a similar recipe for “balls” using a cake mix, egg, walnuts, and chopped apricots. Baked in the same manner as Valerie’s luscious brownies, they were delish. Since I often make ‘adulterated’ brownies with the addition of both coconut and nuts – this recipe spoke to me. The only alteration I make is Bittersweet chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
Yummy! Still playing with modifications. I used evaporated milk, less than recipe called for, pecans verses walnuts and half cup puréed pecans in substation of half cup graham crackers. Less sugar and still super yummy!!!
Easy to make and tasty. I substituted oats for the nuts and toasted the coconut!
These were ok. A little bit of a weird texture from the graham cracker base. Not sure if I’d make again.
These are very good but too sweet for me. Much better using unsweetened coconut
Delicious and easy to make
Husband walked in right as I was rolling them in the sugar…. He ate three!! They are a huge hit. Thanks for sharing.
Just made these—deeeelicious!!! Just curious—can you freeze these?
I am making my 3rd batch of these heavenly goodness brownie bites. Made them for Christmas presents and Christmas eve dessert and everyone loves them. Easy to make and there are never any left over!!
