Ingredients

  1. Nonstick cooking spray, for spraying the baking pan
  2. 1 cup granulated sugar
  3. 1 cup dark brown sugar
  4. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  5. 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  6. 4 large eggs
  7. 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter
  8. 8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  9. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  10. 1/2 cup cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray.
  2. Combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, salt and eggs in a large bowl and mix until well combined; set aside.
  3. Melt the butter and chocolate in a double boiler, then whisk together until fully combined. Pour the chocolate mixture into the sugar mixture and mix until fully combined. Fold in the flour and cocoa.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool completely before slicing.

Sinfully delicious. Moist. I cooked them about 33 min and toothpick came out clean. I cut in the middle and it seemed underdone. Cooked another 10 min. Much better. Also added about 1/2 tsp of instant coffee. Yum!

Do the choc chips melt or stay solid? If I don’t like chips in brownies (texture thing) would shaved choc be ok?
