I created a Western omelet quiche dish with some leftover components. It has a wonderful flavor and texture!

Total Time: | 1 hr 20 mins |
Servings: | 8 |
Yield: | 1 (9-inch) quiche |

- 1 (9 inch) prepared pie crust
- 1 cup diced ham
- 2 ½ cups shredded mild Cheddar cheese
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- 4 eggs, whisked
- 1 red bell pepper, diced, or more to taste

I also made this with ground beef instead of ham. Both were a hit!
Too much volume even for 9″ deep dish. Start with standard 4 large eggs to 1 cup heavy cream. Reduce green pepper to ½C total (I use red, orange, green), onion to ⅓C (lightly sateéd) and shredded cheese to not more than 1-½C. Mixture will expand during baking. I added ⅛ tsp of cayenne.
I made this with a deep dish 9 inch pie crust. It was so full, some of the egg mixture overflowed and looked like an omelet, put it back on top as it was setting. AMAZING! We all loved it a lot! Definitely will be making again! Thank you!
Its a favourite in our household.
So easy and such a hit at our lady’s day at church that it was requested again.
This is a very a easy breaskfast to make on any holiday morning !!!
I’m vegetarian so I took out the ham and added cauliflower and cherry tomatoes. Delicious! And so easy to make.
Turned out great! Did half milk and half cream – eggs room temp- added shredded zucchini too (more veggies) and sprinkled too with cayenne .
This quiche was so easy to make and delicious. My husband loves western omelettes, so this was perfect to fix for both of us.
