Today was my first time making a Belgian waffle despite the fact that I love waffles so much!! I loved this recipe so much and my family did too!
This is the Betty Crocker Recipe from the Betty Crocker cookbook the only thing that isn’t in the recipe is vanilla extract. I don’t have a round waffle iron, but my waffle iron only used 1/3 cup of batter and I never spray my waffle iron because of all the oil in the waffle batter, I find the batter only stick if there is no oil in the batter period. Basic waffles aren’t supposed to have fancy flavours that is why you can make slight adjustments to any recipe to suit your needs. A recipe is just a guideline for you to follow get creative.
Absolutely terrible, followed the recipe exactly and threw them out. DO NOT MAKE!!l
I bake it in silicone mold in the oven and airfryer, 180 degrees. Both were perfect. We enjoy it. Thank you for this perfect recipe.
Very easy to make but very tasteless. Could be a good base recipe but definitely needs adjusting.
Followed to a t and didn’t enjoy them. Too salty and dry and tasted eggy 🙁 tried adding more milk but that didn’t help. Kinda disappointed but it’s still edible I guess
I love this recipe.! It’s my go to anytime I make waffles. I half the recipe because I have a mini maker and get 7/8 waffles from it. 🙂
These were awful! I don’t get all the rave reviews. So bland and tasteless
I didn’t know what to make for my three littles. All I had were these ingredients and syrup vs. the vanilla extract. During these times, recipes literally changed my mood, and confidence as a young mother, and as a young woman. Thank you. Wow, who knew I’d emo over waffles!!~
Dry and salty for some reason. Followed the recipe exactly and wish I would have saw the suggestions prior. I hate to waste food but even pancake syrup couldn’t help this one.
Amazing waffles. Thank you for the delicious recipe . My family love them and enjoyed for our breakfast. I add only 1tsp of baking powder and 1 tsp of baking soda. Very grateful for delicious waffles
Simply perfect!
This is my go to recipe. Once I discovered this waffle recipe I was done searching. My waffles are great every time with this recipe. ❤️
Great, quick recipe for homemade waffles. Only thing I added was a dash of cinnamon.
Don’t change a thing for this recipe. Perfect
Today is National Waffle Day, so I made waffles for my husband. He requested that I add bacon bits, which was easily done. Next time I’ll prepare the bacon and add a little bacon fat. I’m pleased that the batter can be stored in the frig.
To much baking soda
I thought they came out fine, I just added some blueberries.
Waffles were fluffy and delicious. Very good recipe. It’s a keeper simple but spot on.
Way too much baking powder. That’s all I tasted! I tried adding a tablespoon of sugar and more vanilla but it still had the awful baking powder flavor. It was also very eggy tasting. Vegetable oil was also very prevalent in the taste. I would skip this recipe all together. Texture was fine. Definitely whisk eggs and add all wet ingredients together. Then sift in flour and baking powder into the recipe. However, I’d just look for another recipe.
My kids love it, so it’s a win.
