I discovered this baked oatmeal recipe while on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. It was adored and frequently requested by everyone. A healthier breakfast would be one with less sugar. You can include ingredients like flaxseed, wheat germ, raisins, cranberries, almonds, and cinnamon. This recipe is unbreakable. Kids adore it with a cup of sugar, but you can make it tasty and healthful by adding other ingredients and less sugar. Serve it with blueberries, strawberries, or peaches.

Reviews
Followed the recipe but used pancake mix instead of flour based on reviewer suggestions. Sprinkled some garlic and Italian seasoning before popping into the oven. It looked and tasted amazing! Gone.
I had no bacon, but I was overrun with veggies, so I doubled the egg/flour mixture, lengthened the cooking time, and made a mega-quiche! Very useful recipe.
It was so easy, and tasted great. I used Canadian bacon and chives instead of onion. I also subbed 1/2 cup heavy whipping with my milk. Put a little seasoned salt, used Glass pan 35 mins was perfect….just needed a little more salt and my husband raved…..
Delicious!
Easy to make and tasted great
I used leftover chicken instead of bacon for WW friendly breakfast. Added spinach and did not use a crust. I only had to count the points for the cheese and low fat butter. Yummy
This didnt work out for me. Adding flour just made it too compact. I would eliminate it next time.
Delicious. Needed a way to make eggs for a dietary need but who doesn’t like them. Texture was great, taste was wonderful. Added spinach for yet more iron! I also adopted this to crustless. By lining bottom of pie plate with Mozzerella and using GF flour(1/4 cup), it is a delicious option for me and my wife.
Try adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce, a trick I learned with scrambled eggs. It adds a really nice flavor.
Delicious! I have never made a quiche before, but this was a success. I know the recipe didn’t call for a crust, but I had one in the fridge so I went ahead and used it. I swapped Colby Jack cheese for the Swiss because that is what I had on hand, and I sauteed the onions in the 2 Tablespoons of butter before adding – the flavor this added was AMAZING! I think next time, however, I will drain the butter before adding in the sauteed onions, there was a pool of grease at the top of the quiche when it was done baking. Lastly, I took another reviewer’s advice and only added in 1 1/4 cups milk – I will be keeping this measurement as the texture of the quiche was PERFECT. I love how customizable this recipe is, I will definitely be making this again!
ok
Taught my 13 year old to make this, he loves it. We made it in a muffin pan so we could customize it. His was sausage and Colby jack cheese. Mine was white cheddar cheese, red peppers and spinach. He makes it once a week now!
Delicious!! I made this as written except used complete pancake mix instead of flour. This will be a regular for me!
So easy, so good! Even though I know cheddar bakes “greasy”, it was the only cheese in the fridge so I made do. Hoping next time to have Swiss on hand so as to experience this wonder fully! If cheddar is all you have on hand, it’s best omit the butter. Would love to try this cold, but I fear that it will be all gone by tomorrow! Edit 2018: Tried this with a tsp of curry in the mix – still delicious but in a whole new way!
I kind of did my own thing here, trying my to cut carbs, and using ingredients I had that I needed to get rid of (1). First, I used ham instead of bacon (my preference anyway, but it’s what I had). I used 1 cup of heavy whipping cream (so not to go to waste), and 1/4 cup milk. And I used almond flour instead of regular flour. It turned out delicious, but not as fluffy as it would have been having used regular flour. But still Great! Oh and I added just a little bit of mixed cheddar cheese to the top (because I had some), and I mixed my Swiss cheese and ham into the egg mixture. Simply poured it into my pan and cooked it that way.
As other have said, use less milk and use Bisquick for a nicer rise. I cup milk works well.
Really good, and quick!! I added some fresh parsley and green onion for color. Thanks for sharing, will definitely make this again!
Tasty. Used cheddar cheese. Swiss would add some depth. Used Bisquick mix. Mix with milk first, then butter, or it gets clumpy. Loved not needing a piecrust. Didn’t add any salt.
Very easy & versatile! Cut back on salt as bacon is salty. I added parsley, pepper & Italian seasoning. Will make again!
This recipe is so easy and very good. Going to fix this for my family on Easter.
As is, it’s far too salty. The first time around, that was the overwhelming taste. There’s already bacon & butter, why add a whole teaspoon of salt? Made a second time with half the salt and was much better.
